Grand Hotel Saranda in Sarande

For us, this hotel was a disappointment. We felt that the photos don’t fully match reality. The carpet in the hallways leading to the rooms is just horrible, the walls are poorly finished, and the silicone around the bathroom sinks gives a dirty impression. They even left stones in the corners of the stairs, showing little attention to detail.
The pool was dirty most of the time and was only cleaned on the second-to-last day of our stay.

We also had the impression that we were given two of the worst rooms, as the staff often left other room doors open and those seemed larger and in better condition than ours.
In addition, one day we had the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, yet someone entered one of the rooms — we’re not sure why, as nothing was cleaned. We only noticed because they accidentally left behind a card used to turn on the room’s electricity.

Another issue was the lack of attention to bathroom amenities: they kept leaving several hair conditioners (we once had five!) but almost no shower gel/shampoo. Overall, there’s clearly little attention to detail from the staff.

Breakfast was okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Positive points: great location, the music at the bar was pleasant, and the parking area is spacious. We also appreciated that they let us park there while we were in Corfu for a few days.
