Portside Hotel in Vlore

Booked my holiday with love holidays ... never again! Booking process was easy ... arrived in Albania to find no transport was made to get us to the hotel so we had to hire a car. When we eventually arrived at the hotel we was then informed we had to pay city tax. Arrived at to our room (outside temp 25 degrees ) opened the door and was blasted with a heater kicking out allot of heat. The lady on reception said it must be broken and there was no air conditioning . With no rooms left she trf us to Regina city hotel although a little higher in standard we had the same issue . Reception did try to help and did provide us with a fan but this didn't help at all window couldn't be left open because of the traffic noise .. similar to that in New York ... Breakfast be warned you must get up early when we arrived everything had been eaten and little was left and it was cold ... this was 8.30 am .... We stayed two nights and checked out. Will never use love holidays again ... and we do not recommend vlore to stay or the Regina hotels. Reception staff are lovely and Albanian people friendly ....love the country .. my advise tour around and use booking dot com for hotels .

Luckily, we have just left the hotel after a week. We are totally disappointed with our stay, here’s why: - no hot water for three days (reception staff said it was a general problem...) - No internet in the room - poor internet connection in other parts of the hotel - we were warned after four days that food and drink is not allowed in the room, im sick and need to have access to water 24/7, we also had to hide wine :) like at school. Seriously??? - No complimentary water in the room - very bad breakfast, poor quality, No choice, everyday the same... - No basic furniture: fridge, chair, balcony furniture, bedside lamp for reading Pluses: nice room, clean
