Flamingo Hotel in Vlore

We booked a specific room for two nights through Booking.com, advertised as 60m² with a sea view balcony and a bathtub. Upon arrival, we were given a completely different room: half the size, no bathtub, and no balcony with a sea view.

At first, everything seemed promising with a friendly welcome. That changed quickly the moment we pointed out that we hadn’t been given the room we booked. I calmly explained the situation to the staff member who helped us. I believe she said her name was Jenny or Xheni when I asked. However, she deliberately chose not to understand and responded in a condescending and dismissive manner.

What was also strange was that, even before we had seen the room, while walking there, she already told us she would give us a different and better room the next day. That immediately raised red flags, as it was clear she already knew the room was not the one we had booked.

She offered no apology, showed no accountability, and remained passive-aggressive throughout the conversation. First, she blamed Booking.com, and later admitted that this had happened to other guests before. This clearly shows the hotel is knowingly misleading people.

To make matters worse, it was 00:30 in the morning, and the only “solution” she offered was: “OK, I’ll cancel it.” Where were we supposed to go at that hour?

The way she handled the situation was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Her attitude made an already frustrating situation even worse and does not reflect the standards guests should be able to expect from any hotel.

I strongly advise against booking this hotel. The way we were treated was disgraceful and completely ruined the start of our trip.
