Located conveniently next to the train station and smacked bang in the middle of the city. Facility is quite old but it was well kept and very clean. The only negative thing is that there’s no swimming pool. Or maybe it’s under renovation. Only one lift and it’s slow

This is a very run down building that was purchased for complete reno inluding new beds and air-conditioning and painting, none have been started , bedding and air-conditioning was unacceptable for paying money(422)$ This a fraudulently behaviour on behalf of Mantra and hotels .com because they sell you a room with air condition but the hotel owners know that it doesnt work. So I ask you ? Isn't this selling something and getting paid but not honouring the commitment? The bed is ready for rubbish tip..ask the owners . They will tell you what they are doing .

Normally Mantra rooms are clean & modern. Mantra Wollongong was unfortunately very grotty from the time we entered reception to the time we left. Foyer needed a good sweep & mop, as did the elevator floor. Rooms were specious and beds comfortable, but lounges were stained, benches and furniture in need of a good wipe down, tiles in bathroom mouldy. The whole place needs a good refresh. I didn't realise the property allowed pets...saw 4 groups with large dogs taking them in and out of their rooms. We probably won't stay again unfortunately.

The room was….. dirty. A very tired old room. Old food in the drain in the sink, stains all over the carpet. The sheets were nice and clean, parking was good, friendly helpful staff. But for the price of the room for one night didn’t match the standard of the room.

The room was dirty, dust was everywhere. The walls had scuff marks and the room smelled stale. Very disappointed. Not worth the cost at all and was very surprised that Accor would have a property at this low standard. Only one old air conditioning unit in the living room, and old fans from kmart in the room which were damaged.

We stayed in a two bedroom for two nights. We also had other family stay in 2 bedroom apartments. All of us found the level of cleanliness disappointing for an Accor Mantra. My family member brought cleaning products to re-clean apartments & fix the smell from drains.
The units need more attention to up keeping. For example the state of the mattress’ and rusted fixtures that can easily be replaced. See pic attached.
The staff were friendly.

Served by an awesome staff tonight .. they operated like a well-oiled machine ... even with two-for-one they were on fire ... service was with a smile, efficient and with customer care ... even when I asked for “a shitload of jalapeños” ... no one flinched and I got what I asked for

Convenient location after exiting the Princes Highway. Very generous with salad toppings.
But...
This place missed out on the full 5 star rating when my wife ordered the subs while carrying our 1 year old toddler on one arm (I was at the next door 7/11 at the time).

She asked for a plastic bag to for the 2 foot long subs but the staff member kept insisting the paper bag was good enough even though it had no handles for her to securely hold onto. After much deliberation, the staff finally provided the plastic bag.

It was at that moment I stepped in to help her that we realised they didn't provide any napkins. I asked the staff who at first only gave one piece of napkin, then she realised the absurdity and offered a few more napkins.
