The experience at the front office really kills the experience from the very beginning… and the very end.

The location is fantastic, and the cleanliness is impeccable. I especially loved the rooftop pool with its beautiful views. It's perfect for families, with spacious rooms and really comfortable mattresses. Plus, there are tons of great food options nearby.

1: The swimming pool is small and the water isn't clean.
2: The pajamas are definitely not up to five-star hotel standards.

Here's my personal take. Upon entering the lobby, the bellhops barely glanced my way, instead warmly greeting foreign guests. Heading upstairs for check-in, even with open desks, I still had a bit of a wait. My son and I were speaking Chinese the whole time. The front desk lady, however, spoke exclusively English to my son, and her attitude was decent. After check-in, she surprised me by speaking a few sentences in Mandarin; I was taken aback, realizing she could speak Chinese all along! Other services were practically nonexistent. The hotel's service awareness is just terrible; there were almost no greetings, no hellos. Only one or two staff members would give a forced, insincere nod. The room cleaning was the most puzzling. I made it clear I didn't want the room cleaned when I was out, and when I returned, they'd formally ask if I needed it cleaned. Out of five days, only one day was the room actually tidied after I left. I even encountered their 'inspection team' entering the room. There was a long hair still on the bathroom door – clearly left by the previous guest, as no one in my family has hair that long. On the other remaining days, they simply said they'd change the towels and empty the trash, and their attitude was quite good. What truly baffled me was the lack of complimentary bottled water in the room. I was told the tap water from the kitchen was potable. Looking through Ctrip reviews, it's clear many rooms, including the apartment I stayed in, have two paper-boxed mineral waters. I have no idea why we didn't receive any for even one day. Our room was placed right off the elevator, with an emergency exit right next to the door. This made me wonder if this was specifically arranged for Ctrip customers, or if there was another reason. All in all, the only thing going for it is its location; everything else is worthless!

The hotel location is great, with convenient transportation and many restaurants nearby. The rooftop pool has an amazing view! We booked a two-bedroom city view suite, but one of the bathrooms was really small!

Plus: offered free upgrade from two bed harbour view room to two bedroom room, but was assigned lower floor
Negatives:
Apartment was spacious, but not sure why there are quite a few gnats flying inside the shower space. ventilation was quite poor too. And room services took ages to come, one time i had to call back after 30 min cause no one came, probably forgot to cater my request earlier

My stay at W Sydney was below expectations. The front desk staff were helpful and responsive, but the cleanliness and facility issues were numerous and didn't align with a five-star hotel.

Key issues:
* Glassware had residue, the coffee machine's interior was visibly dirty, and there were water stains and dust on the induction cooktop and counter. Some cutlery and decorative areas had stains or accumulated dust. The dishwasher had uncleaned black foreign objects inside.
* The sink leaked from underneath, and the fixtures were stained, indicating poor equipment maintenance. The TV was also noticeably crooked.
* Upon check-in, I was promised a notification when the room was ready, but I didn't receive any updates even by 6 PM.

We booked W sydney months in advance with breakfast included and is worth it . Food choices are plenty during breakfast and can order different eggs style and cooking preparation during breakfast and can order different hot or cooled selection of drinks as well. Hotel is clean and location is near china town ,paddys market , and harbour easily accessible to townhall in a walkable distance of 7-10 mins away. There is a fireworks show on saturday night that lasted 5-7minutes.. There are lots of restaurants around the area and ice cream shops as well . There is even a park at the back of the hotel and a playground for kids. I highly recommend this hotel. There is 2 pool in the hotel at 22nd floor and 29th floor . The hotel is beside Imax cinema .

Traveling to Sydney, I absolutely had to stay at this W hotel, even if just for one night to experience the views. It's incredibly photogenic! This must be one of the newest and best-designed five-star hotels in Sydney. Make sure to book a room with a view of Darling Harbour, otherwise, you're missing out. The rooftop outdoor pool is also a must-try – you could easily spend a whole day here without needing to leave. I booked a non-weekend night, and it was definitely worth the price. Plus, the Fish Market is just a ten-minute walk away; you should check it out, the first stall inside is delicious!

An unfortunate experience at an otherwise great restaurant. Vibe was great and mains were fantastic, but the service was terribly lacking - we were left waiting 15-20 minutes between waiters visiting the table (water to menu to drink to order being taken over an hour), missed orders, being told the kitchen is being closed after being made to wait, and when we received an unpalatable dessert and asked to return it to the kitchen politely, was met with disdain and another 20 minute wait. The manager was lovely and apologetic st the end, but if we’re a table paying $350 plus, we simply expect to have a reasonable and even forgettable service.

Met up with a few girlfriends for brunch. The food is average, which doesn't mean bad hence the 2 stars, but the service was terrible. The server was in her own world and stood at the bar for most of the time. We would have to ask her for the same thing SO many times and it would still be forgotten. I would understand if it was busy, but she would just hang out and chat to the bartender.
