It was excellent for us. Everything was good. Special for us was New Years Eve, we could see all the fireworks from our balcony.
This hotel apartment has a fantastic location, right in Melbourne's Green Zone. The advantages include: spacious rooms (we booked a two-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, which was very convenient); fully equipped rooms with comfortable bedding; and views of the bustling streets, parks, and a small river from the balcony. The most convenient feature is the supermarket on the ground floor, which...
Outstanding service from the front desk. immaculately clean and great location
Located in the center of Melbourne, convenient for travel. The two-bedroom room I booked was very spacious and had a large balcony. I could have given it a full score, but I was not satisfied with the parking. The entrance to the hotel garage is in a small alley at the back and is not easy to find. You need to enter 2 malt house lane in the navigation.
The room is large and spacious. It has everything you need. It is not crowded for four people. The view outside the room is also very good. The location is convenient. You can walk to the city center.
Although it is close to the train station, the soundproofing is good. The hygiene is OK, but the bathtub is broken and there is sticky stuff on the hair dryer. It is very close to the church, train station, etc., very convenient.
Nice hotel, really good location to explore St Kilda, and also penguins
An average hotel with a motel vibe, but a five star price. The bed was comfortable, the aircon was effective and the service from the front desk was quite good... but the bathroom was awkward and the hallways were constantly noisy and the trams were few and far between. In all, extremely overpriced, but tolerable.
Good location for trams to town, 15 minute walk to the beach. Nice clean rooms and reception very helpful.
lovated in st kilda
hotel is kind of old
but still acceptable for a night of skeep
Nice place for budget stays but can be very noisy due to less sound proofing between walls
I had a great time whilst staying at Barkley on Crest, the room was tidy and clean, service was friendly and helpful, & the continental breakfast had a grand selection at a fair price.
I’ve stayed at Barkley two times now and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed both stays.
Thank you.
Massive apartment with everything you need. Bed was very comfy!
Good location for where we needed to be. It also had the amenities that we required. The apartment we stayed in could do with new carpet and a good clean. Note the bathroom is in the main bedroom and there is no lift to the first floor, so bear these in mind. Close to transport and dining options.
The location of the property is perfect and size of the room was great, but it really lacked beyond that especially in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. All of the plates, mugs and glasses were dirty, the phone was hanging off the wall, the walls scuffed with stains on the carpet, the bedroom window did not open and although having a washing machine in the room was a good addition there was no...
The train station is very close and travel is very convenient. Coles is just a few minutes away from the hotel. It is also very convenient to buy daily necessities.
Ample parking. Clean tidy rooms. Close to cafes and restaurants. Very comfortable beds. Only problem is that the bathroom is main bedroom and other guest in your apartment need to come through your room.
The place was clean, the people were nice and helpful

Picnic, Table tennis
This hotel is okay for a one-night stay, as they don't clean the rooms or restock complimentary tea/coffee/milk on subsequent days. There were ants in the room. The website stated airport transfers were AUD 5 per person, but they charged us AUD 35 for three people, while the hotel next door offers free airport shuttle service.
I absolutely loved this place, it was like a cute little home away from home. I didn’t wanna leave!
Just one night with a bed
Nothing you can expect more
Need shuttle to airport
Receptionist was very nice and helpful, clean, good location for early flight from Melbourne Airport. Definitely recommend .
Lovely modern spotlessly clean cabin. Comfy bed and great bathroom, kitchenette and lounge room. Close to the airport. Lovely managers. Will definitely stay again. 5 star.
Rooms were so clean 😍 staff were so helpful nothing was a problem to them . Warren the manager. Couldn't hav been more helpful if he tried. This is our second.d stay and will definitely stay again. Close to airport and public transport. Great place 👌 👍

I arrived at Melbourne airport at 23:00 date of 23 April, 2026.
I came at the front door of City Square Motel at around 1AM 24 April 2026, no one there, I could not open the glass door, I entered PIN 5922 on booking Trip.com sent me with no luck, and I tried to call the phone number in the glass for with no answer.
I had to wait until there was 1 black man went out from the inside. I stepped in and...
The room is a bit old and dirty but it’s located in the cbd which is quite convenient with a cheap price.
The guy at the reception was very kind. I called because there was no hairdryer in the room, and he quickly brought one up.
the room was spacious and i was able to checkin slightly earlier and leave my bag there a few hrs prior which was very helpful! the location is convenient but the motel is connected with another business and there is no reception room just a corridor which was fine for me but just don't expect anything fancy, you are paying for what you get and it did the job for me nicely!
Really needs a proper clean but good location and great having a microwave
The location is convenient, close to Chinatown. Although the room is small, the bed is very comfortable and I slept well. The amenities are quite complete, but you need to book in advance. The front desk is often unstaffed. However, for this price, it's affordable for the average person, and I would recommend it.
Melbourne, 27-29 Claremont Street, South Yarra (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Amity's Claremont Street property is in an excellent location, close to cafes & restaurants and the major Chapel St & Toorak Rd shopping precincts, as well as to the strategic South Yarra train station and a tram service along Toorak Rd. Our room was spacious (somewhat muted in decor), had reasonable storage, and usefully provided good cooking, washing & drying facilities. The room was not serviced...
We stayed in this hotel in late 2017 and really enjoyed it. Thus, when we finally returned back to Melbourne, we chose this place again. Booked 3 different apartments and all were wonderful. Had washing machine and dryer (including washing powder), small kitchen with great appliances.
It was clean and warm and lovely. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would come back and stay here again for...
We stayed in 3 different apartments over a 7 day period. The 3rd apartment at their request and unclear on the reasons on why we had to move. While the apartments have all the right amenities, I was a bit concerned about the cleanliness in general. The floor was good, the beds were good but walls and doors, glass on pictures, etc. were very grubby in places. We understand that cleaning staff are...
Husband and I stayed in an apartment for one night as we were going to Rod Laver Arena for a show.
The staff were friendly and the apartment was wonderful. Had everything you need, including your own washing machine and dryer (they even supplied washing powder).
It was clean, warm and quiet. We parked underneath the apartments which was handy because Claremont Street is a narrow one way road with...
Our stay at Amity was very pleasant. The location is convenient, close top restaurants shops, railway station etc. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Easy for rideshare vehicles to pick us up. Pity our room was overlooking the railway line so kept us awake nights as we are not used to train movements. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
Clean, cozy and modern but a 1GB of WIFI allowance per day per room is ridiculous.

Room was spotless and the worker was very friendly
Clean room, free upgrade, lovely staff
Apartment was the best we had stayed at near the hospital
Clean and well appointed. Perfect for a couple. Staff was very helpful
Convenient and clean easy access after hours
Comfortable place to stay.
Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. 5 mins walk from the hospital.
Melbourne, 160 Simpson Street (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The room was a very generous size, and had a comfortable bed. It was decoratively a little tired, and in need of a spruce up, but it was clean and in a great location. Secure parking overnight for $20 was a good deal.
Room and amenities were extremely clean. While being a pet friendly place, there was no pet smell in the room. Will definitely stay again.
Room was basic and a bit run down, but clean and comfortable. Parking was very easy and secure. Great option for anyone looking for affordable accommodation near the cbd. Amazing price, especially considering it has a full kitchen.
Some cobwebs at the top of curtains / roof.
Otherwise brilliant rooms / cleanliness / location and parking. Will definitely stay there again.
Location for our purpose was excellent (hospital nearby), but property was quite dirty with very poor services. Staff were very pleasant to deal with but they could not clean the apartments or fix tv’s.
Good value and convenient
A little dated but cosy and did the job. Check re accessibility as we had a room on the 2nd floor and my wife uses a walker so that was a challenge.

Great location & view! Value for money!
Fantastic location. Central to almost everything or a short Uber away. Check in was fine for us. We stayed for four nights. Booked via Air Bnb. Great location and amenities
Close to great food and public transport
Basic but good
Perfect for an overnight stay
Great room! Awesome spa. much better than the photos and great value for money. Leon the receptionist was very kind and made me feel very welcome. Definitely better than it was over a year ago. Recommend ☺️
The great news for this motel is it has recently been purchased and undergoing renovation. The room was exactly what we wanted for a one night stay as we come down from country Victoria for hospital appointments. Yes the room needs maintenance but the linen was fresh and clean and the cleaners do a great job for what they are working with.
Good enough for price. Had privacy would recommend
We actually had a cancellation on our last place, so as I was looking up places in Melbourne, I came across Comfort Inn. We are so happy we came here! It was exactly what we were looking for. The area is close to shops and restaurants and not too far away from the airport. The attendant was very friendly and helped for our check in to go very smoothly! The room we had was extremely spacious and was...

Great accommodation, great views of Melbourne and great facilities of gym/pool etc. Although did not get to use much. Perfect location for trams right outside and very close to Southern cross train station. Another short stay put a slight downer as they set off the fire alarm with their cooking, quite scary watching people and pets cram into an elevator and get down as fast as we can and even know...
Great location, close to Southern Cross Station.
Apartment could have done with a good deep clean.
Property manager arranged for early check in
Very good, cost-effective, convenient check-in,
Facilities: new
Sanitation: clean
Environment: comfortable and livable, warm
Service: considerate service, you can order food, take-out, and the lobby welcome is very good
Overall, it feels suitable and comfortable, four stars or above
High floor, good view, swimming pool and sauna facilities are good but no breakfast
The apartment is clean and conducive. Furnished tastefully and complete. The washing machine serves us well. Location superb, the free tram stop is just in front of the building and made access to shopping centers, train station, bus terminal easy and fantastic. There are eateries at walking distance. Lift to the apartment is quick and not crowded. If come to Melbourne again, this will be my choice...
This place wasn’t too bad for the money factor, it was actually pretty sound proof the only noise we heard was from the wind being so high up. Good features about the property is that it has everything if you want to cook, washing machine, dryer, as well as some complementary things like body wash, shampoo, washing power to do washing. The receptionist was super lovely & friendly, and it does have...

Lovely comfortable bed
Room has everything you nred
Location is great
Very old and worn looking. The bed and bathroom were clean. The couch had a towel over it as the cushions were old and worn. Inexpensive and clean, but overall disappointed and would not stay there again if I returned to Melbourne.
Exactly what I expected. Close to Laird bar. Nothing special
Convenient location and free parking, close to the city. A lot of noise from neighbouring rooms at all hours and room needed to be aired for quite a while when we first entered.
I had 4 nights at the motel and it was perfect for my needs and exactly what I expected. It is a great location in terms of being able to walk to Abbotsford, Richmond, Collingwood or Fitzroy pubs. The bed was good and the bathroom was fine. Not a place I'd bring my wife but perfect for a bloke having a few nights in town.
Despite this property showing its age, and it would appear in the process of upgrading it was clean and tidy. If you are just after a room for a couple nights fits the bill. The hotel on the corner great for a quick meal and mcds just around corner good for quick coffee

A bit out of the city, but a good spot for our trip. Friendly workers. Rooms could have been slightly cleaner, but did the job.
It is an older motel. I have stayed there a few times over the years. I saw that it is showing its age and needs a refurbishment. It is okay as a place to sleep. The chain on the door of my room had been removed. The closet was missing a bar (the kind staff member at reception went and found me one). The bar fridge had no shelves inside or on the fridge door. The TV was an older model, the speakers...
Perfect for staying, recommended.
It was a nice easy overnight stay no complaints just in and out, it is an older hotel but we knew that when we booked.
Have to be honest I was very disappointed in the behaviour of the other rooms and a lot of yelling and screaming will probably not book this motel again
Affordable and comfortable. Very convenient location a minute drive from DFO and freeway. Will be booking next time 🙂

The $50 security deposit is not advertised at all, you are made to feel uncomfortable when you make the point, + it takes 30 min of your time being wasted until the staff finally agrees it is unsatifactory & not necessary. The first room i was given did smell of vomit. However the staff immediately changed rooms with no fuss, the upholstery in the dinning room was so filthy, i had to get a cushion...
It's an old place..carpets are too old and looked unclean..Unclean beneath and beside the cots..Need a good tidy up and freshness...
Friendly staff..
Food area was well looked after..
Everything is fine, except for the limited reception hours. The hotel itself is beautiful, in a colonial style. The location is good, and so is the breakfast.
Very good little spot quite location easy access loved the stay.
It's nice, I like it very much.
Great location, friendly staff and good breakfast for the price.

This hotel was a great help during my trip to Melbourne! Thank you very much. I think it's very affordable and good. I'd love to stay here again.
Used this hostel for just one night. Got in and the room and the door handle was wonky and looked damaged, it did still lock however, but with the door handle being as it was I did find it hard at times to unlock the door to the room. Wouldn't say the hostel was overly welcoming. Paid the bare minimum received the bare minimum, it did its job for me being a place to sleep. Location wise it's a 5 minute...
Good location, but the female dorm door hard to open with the keys, we've to stand at the door atleast a good 10mins, trying to open it. Even then success rates are slim. No elevator, steep stairs going up to the hostel.
Dirty. A deposit was charged for kitchen bowls and cups. Chinese owner. Front desk staff.
A reminder of the past and some mates I think about every day regardless, without this reminder. After 2021/2 in Melbourne we tend to say another... It is what it is.
I didn't mind losing a bit of sleep because some other people are hurting a bit more than me... or at least not coping as well.
Call me a cop though and I prefer to sleep out in the park.
I hope I was able to help in some small way just...
Good value for money, recommended for solo travellers for a few days

Clean. Quiet. Great location. Staff went out of their way to post back a forgotten item also, which was much appreciated.
Great location, friendly helpful staff, great rooms.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. One of the highlights was the stunning view from the terrace, especially of the city skyline—it was truly breathtaking. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of cutlery and cooking utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. Additionally, the hotel provided a full range of amenities, including shampoo and other essentials, which made the stay even more comfortable...
Amazing balcony and clean apartment. Very professional customer service.
Will definitely be back...
Excellent place to stay nice.
Rooms were clean, check in was easy and staff were lovely. Everything was clearly explained and any questions we had were answered. Will stay here again.
