The room was clean the only problem is that the bathroom is a bit outdated and old could use a reno

Spotless, private, friendly. Clean crisp white sheets and towels and couldn’t do enough to help. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. I have stayed many times.

We checked in late and they were still so friendly and made the experience smooth. Offered a later checkout as well

Staff were very good, had everything you would need for a few days stay, fridge,toaster,microwave,iron and board,hairdryer even a washing line The only thing that let it down was the cleanliness but in saying that, sheets ,pillow cases and towels were very clean

Comfortable room with all amenities. Quiet location but with in easy reach of shopping and all PERTH DESTINATIONS. Hire car not necessary unless travelling outside of the Perth area.

We chose this location as it was close to the hospital for appointments. It’s also close to public transport and shops. The room is nice, bed comfy and appliances new, but I noticed not very clean. The walls look dirty, there’s lots of dust and the shower had hair everywhere and a heap of mould.

Both my husband and I had a wonderful experience sharing the College with some young people also the staff were warm and friendly .

Google maps takes you to the wrong side of place so you need to put in a different road to get to the accommodation side. It was quite loud from some of the other guests.

I did a seminar here and they are very good. Everything is neat and tidy. Staff are friendly, helpful but not intrusive.

The hotel is better than expected. The room was neat and nice. The equipment is of high quality and complete. The bed was very comfortable. I went to the restaurant after nine o'clock and had a rich Western breakfast. The only drawback is that it is a bit difficult to find the hotel location. Parking takes a little more effort.

Clean, comfortable, and very accessible accommodation close to Perth city and attractions. Beautiful gardens, great facilities & cheaper than most other equitable accommodation. It is also the quietest accommodation I have ever stayed in.

The service upon check-in was quick and easy.Room is very spacious and comfortable, clean with full kitchen. Breakfast was basic in the college dining hall. Onsite parking was very limited, may have to find street parking.

The location is great, by the river in the city, with a small kitchen for cooking and free zone bus rides. The only downside is the soundproofing isn't great, luckily I prepared earplugs.

Great place to live in as it was near the city and had many amenities around it. Francis, the receptionist that helped us was extremely friendly and helpful in the checking in and out process! Would visit this place again when I am back

David on reception was amazingly helpful and is a credit to the company. He also arranged an upgrade to our room which was incredibly kind to room 16. It has a huge balcony with a gorgeous sea view. This hostel is located a bit far from Perth station. But if we use public transportation, it’s easy to access. I was able to check in 12PM. It’s really help us to arrive at Perth City.

Everything in very good condition, probably the best backpacking hostel I have stayed in.

This place was great, I ended up extending for an extra week. I enjoyed my stay here and it's in a convenient location. Other reviews complain about people screaming late at night outside - I was in a room on the front and I had little to no issues during my stay, and there's not much that can be done outside of the property... All the staff members were pleasant and the shared areas were always clean...

A private room within walking distance of the centre of Perth for less than $70, can't really complain, Perth prices are cooked and some hostels charge 80 a night for a bunk bed in a dorm! I stayed here last year (2024) in July, and I had a great time. I had great interaction with some of the other guests, a very eclectic bunch. I don't understand the negative comments at all. This is a hostel, not a 5-star hotel. The room i had ,although dated, was clean and functional. I didn't notice any bugs or rodents, and I made full use of the communal kitchen and fridges. PROS: close to everything, quiet (as in no party but some construction is going on), clean, easy self checkin, pay parking next door. CONS: no social interactions, poor and basic facilities, mainly working guys, no aircon.

Not bad, not great. 0 communication or interaction from staff, did not see a single staff member my entire stay. The hotel is conveniently located near Perth station making it easy to reach from Perth Airport. The spacious room features a separate bedroom and includes a kitchen with a large table. Daily cleaning isn’t provided.

I honestly expected a little better… I rang and enquired about an early check in, and a woman said yes no problem your room is ready now. Get to the hotel and am told “no your room is not ready, who did you speak to over the phone?” I did not recall the persons name but instantly I am handed keys anyway… after wandering around with my heavy overseas luggage on the level I was directed to by the hotel...

The location is excellent, being close to Elisabeth Quay, but the path between Elisabeth Quay station and the hotel felt dark and a bit scary. Housekeeping is only every three days, and I would have preferred daily towel and trash changes. While there's a washer and dryer, the dryer was broken and unusable. Also, there were someone else's pants left in the washing machine when I checked in.

The location is excellent. But the room cleaning service is confusing. When we checked in and be told that room cleaning will be conducted every four days, sometime they did but sometime not. The facility is old and need to upgrade. The staffs in reception are very helpful.

2 bedroom apartment was great for 1 night. Walked to great eateries, easy check in/out, parking at front door which was appreciated in heavy rain. Old building but kept well, and very clean & comfy. Pretty view of the city from my bedroom…. Across the swan river.  Oh and the bed was superb.

The hotel's location is excellent, and parking is convenient. You can see the entire city panoramic view right from the entrance. The large lawn and river beach outside are perfect for a barefoot stroll, and it's lovely to walk around after dinner. The room felt clean, and the mattress was very comfortable. The hotel even prepared a small gift for us. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Enjoy comfortable bed and essential kitchen equipment. Strong signal & speedy wifi help either checking email or steaming video. Only the down side is hot water in shower suddenly get cold. We experienced several time of this on each morning. Not sure because of other units using hot water on same time. Just not good experience for start of the day...

We arrived around 6:10 PM, but the reception staff had already left. It wasn't a major inconvenience for a family of four, but we had a restless night's sleep because no one stopped a drunk troublemaker in the early morning.

The room was reasonably clean and comfortable, the location was great, however, the hotel itself was filthy. Carpet was stained everywhere and god knows what was wiped all over walls, the elevator had its own biofilm going on. Was ok to stay one night but I personally do not feel the accomodation was worth the asking rate and the bond required felt like highway robbery.

You get what you paid for. Decent hotel in an ok part of town. Front desk is only open 9-6 which makes early morning requests and late check-ins difficult. Inside appliances are dated. There was at least a hard pillow in the room and the balcony was great.

The front desk staff was very friendly. They were very helpful with any questions I had! The hotel is very close to the downtown area, making it easy to buy groceries and go shopping. There's also a delicious authentic Indian restaurant nearby that's open until 10:30 PM.

It’s an old apartment. Only one AC in 2 bedroom apartment which are not covered all areas in summer. Location was great but property should renovate the furniture and fixtures for better stay of guests. It’s not really value for money in current establishment.

Check in service is not updated. Nobody standby even at 11am. Charge us 175 AUD for luggage temporary storing for 1 night.

This property is basic but has all that you need for a short term stay. It's clean, tidy, value for money, close to the city and has free parking which is rare around the city area. Highly recommend.

The apartment was clean but there was damage which was worrying as they took a $200 deposit which they didn't release for 7 days so we had to take photos of existing damage. Room was ok…. Missing pillow cases on sofa bed, no top sheet on beds, fitted sheets came off easily, mattesses need deep clean & only 2 towels provided for 3 guests. No shampoo/conditioner. Was some unpleasant marks on the curtain and ACs needed a clean. Not super happy with price paid.

If you want to save money, there's a free shuttle bus about a 6-minute walk away. You can basically take the free shuttle bus to explore the city; the Blue, Red, and Yellow lines cover most areas. The transportation is quite convenient. I initially couldn't find the Grand Tang (hotel/area), so I called the English helpline. A Chinese-American woman answered, but she didn't speak Chinese. Other than that, everything else was good, with all sorts of facilities available. I'd consider staying there again.

Apartment had everything we needed and was within walking distance to main city centre and RAC arena

We spent 4 comfortable nights in this studio apartment. The balcony looks onto the small street and apartments across. It was bit noisy on the weekend with many restaurants etc. nearby. The Perth station and Ferry terminals are within walking distance. Only issue was a sticky floor on check-in but not serious.

A1 location - huge playground over the road. Walking distance to optus stadium, restaurants, IGA. There's no pool despite their google listing mentioning it. Rooms are comfortably furnished but bathroom dated. Everything clean though. We stayed one night with a young family and enjoyed our stay. $15 to park your car be warned.

So close to Optus you can walk there. Rooms are big. Shower was hot with loads of pressure. Toaster microwave kettle and coffee pod. Easy check in. Will do a one night stay there again if going to Optus from the country.

My and my friend had the pleasure to stay in this lovely location! The room has everything that you might need but also super clean ! If we need to talk about the bed, it was super comfy I felt asleep like a baby ! I highly recommend ! As icing on the cake the host are truly lovely people!

Stayed at Starwest Alderney on Hay mainly for its excellent location which is right in the CBD and super convenient to get around using the free CAT buses. Good location, but nobody is answering the call when you call their number. Hotel is quite old and there's some molds in the shower.

I really enjoyed my stay at this apartment. I arrived in Perth beyond the normal check in time, but getting the key at night was easy as i have informed my late check in, in advance. The next day must go to the convenience store to make the deposit and get the parking permit and pay for parking. lron, washer dryer provided. Cleaning only once a week but can get top up for tea, coffee and toilet paper...

Absolutely delightful stay! Theresa is lovely, very friendly and always happy to answer questions and have a chat. Yummy breakfast cooked each morning. Very clean room and bathroom, plenty of parking space and super close to shopping centre (250m), train station (20 minutes walk or 3 minutes drive), and quick train into city. The motel’s location was convenient, close to local restaurants and to the beach. Parking was free and right outside my room, which made things even easier.
