Everything was perfect. Friendly staff, excelent and tasty food, clean rooms. Nice welness - pool, several saunas. Near the slopes. Possibilities to buy skipass right at the hotel. In sauna small refresment gratis. We was very satisfied.

Fabulous hotel in the best spot in town. beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean rooms, lovely facilities/amenities, and above all, super staff who could not do enough to ensure we had a memorable time. The pillows were so soft I actually couldn't sleep (I know - I'm weird), so the team provided us with two further types of pillows to try. The buffet breakfast was out of this world, and evening meals of 6 courses were delicious. Ski locker room within 10 meters of the (floodlit) blue Edelweiss piste, fabulous pool/spa facility, and lovely little touches such as dressing gowns, slippers, lip salves, toiletry packs, and more. When nearly a metre of snow fell in the 24 hours before our departure, the staff made sure our car was clear to go by digging out a path with their bulldozer. We loved all the Beatles memorabilia around the hotel and also the historic photos of the owner family through the generations.

Firstly, we had really great time in the hotel. Secondly there was no single thing we could complain about. Everything was superb. The hotel itself is clean, perfectly located and well equipped. If it comes to hotel facilities, they were above standard. The gym equipped with very quality machines, very nice and comfortable ski room with the ski-in/ski-out possibilities and fantastic spa and wellness. The refreshment in the sauna was very convenient. The breakfast was great with the variety of food plus the fresh juice. The menu for dinner was absolutely overwhelming. We enjoyed every single course of the menu. We really appreciate kindness and helpfulness of the staff. All in all, the hotel is the place where the people love staying in, relaxing and enjoying themself. When we come back to Obertauern, either in winter or summer, the hotel Edelweiss will be our first choice.

We had the most amazing family holiday. The hotel is very conveniently located so you can ski on to the off the Edelweiss slope. Very friendly and helpful staff that speak both English and German. Lovely rooms with idyllic views.
The breakfasts are brilliant - massive selection of cold meats with cheese, cereals and a chef to make you omelette or bacon and eggs as you like them.
Then the 5 course dinners (7 of you include the salad bar and the cheese board) are out of this world with something different each evening. The Aqua Lounge is fantastic with three different saunas and a steam room in addition to the heated pool and warm jacuzzi. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here six seasons now, after having tried many different places in the Austrian, French, and Swiss alps. Nothing beats Obertauern and we have been pleased with this hotel. It is nicely located in the center of Obertauern with walking distance to bars and restaurants. You can ski out of and ij to the hotel. The ski school assembles right next to the hotel. If you fancy a nice all-day skiing you can join Mr. Lürzer, the owner, for the Tauern-runde. Oh, and the breakfast is fantastic.
