Hotel Erlebniswelt Stocker in Schladming

Lovely family owned hotel near the slopes. Rooms are modern and very clean. 2 reasons why you should book this place: the owners (Julia offers a superb guest experiences and Gunter even offered one of our group members a ride to another resort in Wahrain after our stay) and the spa area (the new infinity pool offers a magnificent view over the mountains). Restaurant serves a splendid breakfast, yet the menu in the evening was disappointing compared to what the mornings had to offer. The bar is great place to have a good drink (great choice of beers and local liquors) and don’t forget to ask for some speck! Looking forward to returning here one day

Without doubt this family owned hotel has one of the finest locations for a family skiing holiday in Austria: Skiing is possible from the hotel doorstep - both "in" and out". Hotel is at the top of the first lift out of the main village. This two man chair lift is about to be replaced by a much bigger chairlift as construction is well under way. Chairlift up the mountain is a short "Blue" run from hotel. Then a larger "bubble lift" takes you to the summit at 1852m. Ski hire shop is within the hotel. Ski pass purchase is next door (20m). Ski school meeting location is approximately 50m away Ski bus stop to other skiing areas is outside the hotels front door. Wonderful infinity pool - we experienced swimming with snow falling on our heads - yes, the pool is warm! Family sauna and separate adult sauna/spa. Hotel's "half-board" includes a soup course at lunchtime and a 5 course excellent dinner (including a cheese board in the evening). Hotel waitress staff quietly efficient and friendly. Children's play room, bowling alley etc, and several bars (including a dungeon!). Only improvement that I would like to see is fresh orange juice at breakfast.

Ate at the restaurant. We were the only ones outside in the glass enclosure. They were polite. The food was good. It’s simple. They serve local beer. Didn’t check for an antigen test which we must have within 48 hours at this time.

Very nice hotel with easy access (ski in ski out) to the slopes. Looks brand new even though it is a few years back. Breakfast and food in general is very nice.

We just stayed here for a week over New Year 2017/ 2018. Our group was 5 adults and one child of 6yr. From start to finish we were hugely happy with everything! The location is perfect for skiing the Schladming area: ski in/ ski out which was amazing.
The hotel itself is great, with 3 bars, a small bowling alley and a spa ( I didn't use the spa so can't comment on it ). The rooms were spacious and modern and the breakfast and dinner was great every day.
The staff were very polite and hard working! It was nice being served by the same people every day and building a relationship with them.
I go skiing every new year for a week and multiple times for weekends during the season, and will definitely be returning to this hotel !
