The Amauris - Relais & Châteaux Hotel

The absolute best with a tiny bitter aftertaste. This hotel is truly amazing in so many ways, from the magnificent rooms to the impeccable service and fantastic and, I mean, fantastic food at the restaurant. The spa area is just a gem with a hotel this size in the middle of Vienna with an oasis of calm sporting a sauna and steam room with a good-sized little pool/jacuzzi The bitter aftertaste... We left a bunch of clothes in the closet. About half of them brand new clothes from high-end brands with tags on. They did find them after we left, but despite having all our contacts (emails, phone numbers etc.) instead of reaching out, they put it in lost and found. Took me 6 days to realize we are missing some clothes. No contact from the hotel. Mind you, this is not a cheap place at all. 5 star thousand dollar a night rooms. It is such a dumb mistake to do, an unforced error which just leaves you with this lingering bad tasting thought of why wouldn't they reach out? Once WE contacted them, they gave everything back, of course. Other than this, the place is perfect.

Not really going to get much better in Vienna for the price. Quiet and very personal service. Must stay once!

As for breakfast? I generally don't eat hotel breakfast, but we were heading out and decided to give it a try. Can't really say enough about it. They pay a lot of attention to detail and are 1000% caring for allergies!

Opening hours which I like a lot. The Breakfast is à la cart only which makes it more intimate and relaxed than those large buffets from other hotels.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights last week, heading to a wedding in Sankt Corona am Wechsel.

I have nothing but stellar remarks for the Amauris, and if given the opportunity, would absolutely stay here again. We also stayed at the Hotel Bristol across street, which is a lovely hotel, but does not compare.

The service is beyond perfect. From concierge to housekeeping, each person embodies professionalism with a refreshing casualness that defies the traditional servility often associated with luxury hotels. I hope this trend proliferates worldwide.

We stayed in a Maisonette Suite. Everything is BRAND NEW , modern and well-designed. The decor is sexy.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THE BREAKFAST. I cannot say why the room service descriptions are so modest, but each dish is drastically undersold. Every single item is delicious and well-plated. Please, please extend my highest commendations to the kitchen.

At night, there is live music at the bar.

If I had to give one piece of feedback (very small), the in-room tablets are glitchy.

I am so glad we decided to stay at The Ring during our time in Vienna. We had a King room and it was _huge_, immaculate and with a comfy bed - all of which proved to be incredibly handy because we had arrived in Vienna sick and ended up spending our first two days without really leaving the room.

Not only did the staff take great care of us, the room service was great, the bathrooms clean, the hotel super quiet and yet with a window into the hustle and bustle of the street. When we were finally well enough to explore Vienna, we realized it's the location of this hotel that really makes it a winner - it's a couple of minutes walk to the Opera house, a minute to Karlsplatz and to the metro. There's a supermarket around the corner and a huge array of restaurants and a short stroll to Kärntner Strasse which is the famous Vienna shopping street.

Smart hotel with great attentive service 10 minutes walk from the centre of Vienna. Highly Recommended.

This a lovely, pristine, hotel in a great location in walking distance to shopping, museums and public transportation. Very nice personnel and service. Great morning breakfast.
