It started with an early arrival at 8am from the US. When I receive a pre-arrival email, I usually don’t expect much follow-through. I had only asked to drop our bags at 9am, but they did one better — our room was ready at 8am, and they upgraded us to a suite.
Anja and the team at reception were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home right away. A gentleman immediately grabbed us coffees, and the bellman quickly handled our bags (and a shoutout to him as well for the simple but genuine “have a good day or evening” that stuck with us). I also appreciated that when we were brought to the room, the staff took the time to explain the hotel’s history.
The suite was amazing — spacious, well-finished, and thoughtfully designed.
Breakfast at The Bank was both delicious and abundant, and it was surreal eating where a bank was 100 years ago. The hostess at breakfast was also very welcoming and kind each morning, remembering us.
The location is unbeatable for walking the city.
We’re so glad we chose this property. The building and rooms are beautiful, but it’s the service that made this stay stand out.
The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and in the best location. It is very convenient to be so close and walking distance to everything.
The room was very specious, we loved the stone in it and being able to look out to the walking street below.
Breakfast was delicious every day and we looked forward to it daily. Plus the restaurant room that it is in is gorgeous.
The real stand out was the service! The staff was so kind and welcoming. The doorman remembered our name which was a touch that really stood out.
We can’t wait to come back the next time that we are in the area.
