A very beautiful and cozy hotel. The staff and owner are very nice and they put so much care into every detail. The place has a warm cottage ambience, with lots of beautiful flowers on the balconies and stunning views of the mountains and an old church, that makes you live in reality the dreamy scenes from a movie in Austria. It is only a short walk from the hotel to the historic Schloss Ambras, and there is a stop for the light railway line #3 (tram or street-car, whatever you call it) next to the hotel which takes you to the hauptbahnhof and city centre in just 10 minutes. There is also a bank right next to the hotel, which is very convenient. The breakfast is very good, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel with clean rooms. Free parking and close to a tram stop (under 5 minutes walk) with a direct link to the city center (15 minutes ride).

We stayed there for several days during our vacation. I found this hotel through reviews, but it was completely disappointing.

The man at the reception, who I believe is the owner, was very rude, and the restaurant staff were unpolite and unprofessional. One time, I went to get a coffee, and the lady said “What do you want?” (Was möchtest du?) and took my glass without asking for permission. However, with the locals, they were kind and friendly — the behavior toward tourists was very different.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. Please choose a place to stay that gives you a good vibe and is worth the money you pay.

We stopped here for two nights whilst my motorbike was getting repaired in Innsbruck.
Great location to the old town, great transport connections, the hotel was brilliant and the staff too. Especially Christina who went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay

The hotel is well located with mountains view, room was spotless, spacious and had a balcony which was a perfect spot for having your coffee. So many sloaps around for beginners and experienced one, easy to get by bus or trams. Staff was lovely, polite and friendly, in special Patricia one of the waitress which she would go miles away for making our experience special. Thanks everyone for offering us a great stay!

Overall not a bad place to stay, but not a 4* experience you would expect.
The rooms are clean and spacious, and they look nice enough. The beds are comfortable. It is easy enough to get into town via the tram but the hotel is a little far out.

Staff are friendly but not always visible.
Breakfast is good with a variety of options but nothing outstanding.
There is a fridge but no kettle / coffee machine in the rooms which is odd.
Unfortunately we made a mistake when booking the hotel and thought it had a spa / pool, but it does not. The pool is only open in summer.
Walls are paper thin and we had what sounds like elephants staying upstairs.

Positives: it was clean everywhere, the lady that worked in the bar was most helpful, the wifi worked and the breakfast was fine. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is a bit out of the centre, but there’s a tram stop nearby and Ambras Castle is only a few minutes away. Less positive: the owner that checked us in and out and the waitress at breakfast were both unfriendly and uninterested. This is ultimately what makes or breaks a hotel stay for me! We stayed on a weekend night, and there happened to be a party going, it was extremely loud until late. Anytime the water was used elsewhere in the building (the room next door or downstairs?) it caused a very loud shrieking noise in our room which woke us up several times in the night. Overall: a pretty hotel with nice clean rooms and great potential but I don’t think I would come here again.

The hotel is in a quite place and the window view is very nice. All the city hotels were pricey and fully booked. It is an old property maintained by the owner. It is well maintained and rooms are neat and clean.Don’t expect anything fancy here like modern hotels but would recommend this for a cosy and quiet place.Tram no 3 every 15 minutes goes from near the hotel.Hotel connectivity to main town is just a 10 minutes distance by tram.If you have a car then enough parking place.Shampoo and towel given ,with cleaning done everyday. This hotel provides only breakfast and bar facility for beer and wine. There is one local restaurant near the hotel where you can enjoy local drinks and food.

We was told, by the hotel that this was a quite place, no guest in restaurant after 10 pm, an ala carte restaurant and all good. We came on a friday for a 2 day stay. Saturday there was a party all day from about 15 pm with screaming people and loud music until after 2 am. This day, the hotel was not able to use for us cause it was occupied fully with partyguests. The pool was not possible to use since partyguests was walking around with alcohol. We was worried about broken glasses in the grass. I was down at the reseption about 20 pm trying to make a statement this wasnt ok regarding the noicelevel, amount of smoke from sigarettes and so on with little respond. In the morning after about 1,5 hour sleep we went down for breakfast. We made a conplain about not feeling we had a stay as deserved and demanded a discount. We got 40 € off. I was expecting at least one night for free. Rediculus experience at this hotel. The ala carte menu is a joke. A pizza, some sossages and a soup, no meny, just a grumpy waiter telling us what we could eat with no interrests in us. We will never return here again. The only positive side is good location and ok standard.
