Fairmont Baku - Flame Towers in Baku

We stayed for wedding night room on 23rd floor all good perfect morning view

This was my second stay at the hotel. After returning from Gabala, I chose to stay here again based on my previous positive experience, even though there are other good hotels in more prime locations. However, this time my experience was disappointing. Although I booked the same room category at the same price, the room was much smaller than before. Some facilities did not work properly, the curtains could not be operated by remote as it was broken. The bathroom was ok, but not as good as the previous room. The air conditioning was not working, and after several complaints, a technician was finally sent. Room service was also not as good as during my first stay. Overall, this stay was disappointing.

Best view of the light show! We were on the 18th floor, huge room from where we could see the whole city. Great breakfast buffet. Location is good too. the funicular is only 2 minutes walk and if takes you down to the sea-side walk.. Close to most of the monuments but slightly away from the rush of Nizami street. Amazing heated indoor pool and nice F&B options on-site.

Beautiful building, but there are many things to improve.

3. Not so far from the center, nice area around, easy to get by taxi
4. The room is spacious and clean, with nice bathroom.

1. I booked this hotel knowing Fairmont from other countries (stayed there) and the level here is down.
2. If you call and ask something, not very fast response. Ihad to wait very long for help with luggage at check out.
3. The price is expensive for the level you get.
4. The spa area which for me was important was old, needs modernisation. Sauna wood is dangerously falling apart, the jacuzzi in the pool have handles that are moving a lot, almost detached, stain in the pool is not cleaned. There is no supervision in the pool, some people enter without shower.
5. I booked for the sun and external pool, but its down in between the buildings, so no sun after lunch and its very windy.

Overall the hotel is good, but many things that ruin the impression.

Iconic place in Baku. A bit out from the old city

From the start to the end the service was impeccable. The staff done everything to make our stay memorable. We had a suite room this was a size of a 2 bed apartment, the view was spectacular. The hotel is in great location to see modern Baku and is around 15 min drive from old town. We were disappointed with spread available for the breakfast and dinner, from such a well known hotel.

We are very appreciated to the remarkable staff, Mr. Nurlan for making this stay so memorable. After our sleepless night of a long flight, he provided us the breakfast with coupon, the food is very delicious. Especially after stay awake all night long because the long night flight, the breakfast wake us and let us recharge for the day. We also had snacks time and free dinner, it was fantastic. All of the staffs are very kind and friendly. I want to say, thank you truly from my heart that your help made a new nice memory :)
