Reviews
My room was separated by a door from another room which made be able to hear all the noises coming from there
The bathroom is really unclean with multiple stuff not working as expected
The breakfast is bad and doesn't taste good only the chocolate spread that was good and for multiple days some stuff were missing like coffee for example
The room itself was in poor condition—stains on the carpet, and outdated furniture. The bed was uncomfortable, and the linens looked like they hadn’t been changed.
The noise level was also terrible. While I was sleeping, there was a lot of noise coming from outside—all night. It was hard to get any rest. I wouldn’t stay here again.
I was shocked upon arrival when I was suddenly told I had to pay a deposit of 50 manat. This was never mentioned anywhere on the booking platform, which felt extremely misleading. If the hotel starts with hidden charges, it makes you wonder what else might be kept from guests.
To make matters worse, the reception staff were unhelpful and unprofessional. One of the receptionists even told me to go find another hotel if I wasn’t happy — but at the same time, made it clear there would be no refund. It felt like they saw me as just another source of money, with no concern for fairness or customer satisfaction.
When I asked about using an electric socket, I was told I had to pay 3 Manat — which felt unreasonable. We were four people staying in a deluxe room, yet only two bottles of water were provided. When we requested more, we were told we had to pay 1 Manat per bottle. It seems like everything is an extra charge, and it really made us feel like money was the priority over guest comfort.
This is not how any guest should be treated. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a transparent or respectful experience.
The good - the room is decently sized and doesn't feel crammed. The temperature was maintained at a comfortable level throughout and was cleaned well every morning. Good wifi. Heated floors in the bathroom was a nice touch. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with good variety - my wife and I have very different tastes, but we both found a decent enough combination every morning. A short walk gets you to nice diners, restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, ATMs etc. It is also a very nice neighborhood with several embassies in close proximity (with police on duty) so it's safe to walk around even at night.
The Great - The staff were friendly, pleasant and accommodating and very helpful. Promptly attended to small issues we found with the amenities.
The hiccups - hot water went out once and wasn't available for a day. Some of the bathroom fittings (bidet, shower head) needs replacing. They also ask for a deposit of 50 Manat or to hold onto a passport, which is bit weird this day and age, but not the end of the world.
Overall, would recommend 10/10
It has amazing Hookah
