I have just come back after 11 nights, the food is what you expect for all inclusive and can get tedious, however there is so many choices and 3 great restaurants, the rooms are very good and very clean, some staff struggle with English but are polite and helpful, my biggest issue is the life guards ( the fun police) I understand safety but if you push someone in or mess about with your family all...

Pay extra for a pool view if possible ! Worth it as you can see all the action. And the stage in the evening from most balconys. Hard to get a seat for entertainment. Lots going on outside the hotel

Entertainment wasn’t the best as it was so busy but didn’t really get too involved and trying to get a seat in the entertainment at night was hard if you were later down. Poolside food was great and the staff so friendly

Most people speak enough English to get by and English is also spoken by the other people here as the Bulgarians speak English better than any other language ! Temp was perfect for us

Cooled down in evening so was pleasant to walk around not like some other countries. Still won’t need a cardigan though. ! Food and drinks all great

The location and view are great. I booked the all-inclusive but there is not much to use in the evening. The food served for dinner needs improvement.

Perfect location 50 meters from the sea, friendly employees, music, water gymnastics, massage, gorgeous sea view, delicious traditional Bulgarian food !! Piano music is played in the evening

The all-in is literally all-in. food and drinks all day long and even snacks at night. several bars ranging from beach bar to pool bar ,open till 1800. I received an awesome room with big balcony facing the sea

Cleanliness from the room was not the best. but that's probably due to the carpet floor. And the inner pool area is amazing

Burgers chicken salads are all provided as snacks just a few to mention. The bar was fully stocked with lots of drinks good quality and these were available when we needed them obviously they close during the night

At 6pm is the sound of a million whistles telling u to get out the pool they are so aggressive and the towel guy is seriously angry all the time, u can only change ur towel from 4-5 which is annoying, do say no reservation on sunbeds but there is towels on every bed,very hard to get a sunbed

The hotel and staff were amazing very helpful and friendly. clean rooms nice size plenty of storage space and a small balcony

Food is also quite good, personally I enjoyed. Big swimming pool with few slides. Nice snack bar and evening show. You can expect communication with staff in either of 4 languages, Russian, English, German or Bulgarian

We have enjoyed vacations at this resort. To consider, easy acces to the beach and you can go over the sand dunes or to follow nice street with many small shops. Rooms are good as price/quality

Beautiful, large pool, entertainment programs

The hotel it's very clean, professional staff, the food is very delicious and has a great variety. Perfect for families but also great place to relax for single people

The entertainment is nice, different games & shows during the day! Pool is also nice with lots of sunbeds & clean pool. There is a sauna & small small gym but its good enough

I'll allow myself to comment on the good and bad aspects of the hotel. The good: The rooms are very quiet, and overall, it's not noisy. The pool and slides are very nice. The hotel's location is excellent

Entertainment is very good, the rooms are very clean and spacious, the food is a nice mixture of Bulgarian cuisine with the best of European most popular dishes

There is a game room, mini golf, lots of pools, an aquapark for the bigger and smaller ones, a bar, a restaurant, if you are going here you will have the time of your life!

The hotel is wonderful, I recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, quality service and a pleasant experience. I would be happy to visit it again.

The animation was amazing! They had different features every night with special guests. The beach was near with enough sun beds and umbrellas.

Animation is good and the show programs are interesting. The sports activies are done nicely and the children are happy.

The hotel is super! Food was always enough, even if coming at the end of all imposed with the mountain. To the beach: 100 m sunbeds free. Room cleaned every day, bed sheets every three days

A wonderful place for a family holiday. The room was clean and cozy. The food was various and delicious. The staff were amazing. Especially the animation team - they were fantastic.

In the evening there was light music by the pool bar, great atmosphere

First holiday to Bulgaria Sunny Beach, stayed at the Barcelo Royal Beach, frome the start the staff have been welcoming we arrived late early hours check-in was fast was also given a courtesy food bag with sandwich fruit and water

We had a 1 bedroom apartment pool facing on the 5th floor we could also see the sea which was fab. The rooms are spacious and clean, maid service everyday

The pool area has been renovated. But there were not enough sunbeds. A huge shoutout goes to Todor, who was amazing. He makes sure we were comfortable at every stage of our stay

Todor the guest relations manager helped us on the last day as we didn't fly home till 11. 15pm collection at 8pm he kindly arranged the courtesy room for us to shower and get ready for our trip home

This is our favorite hotel in Sunny Beach and we have been there 17 times. There was a wonderful selection of food to choose from. Unfortunately, the food was always cold, but it was delicious

Great thanks to Gabriela in the main restaurant. Always welcome us with her lovely smile, and service. The animation team were just fantastic. Maked sure that every guest, young and older, had a great time

We always had somewhere to eat as they provide a late breakfast and evenings when we had pizza before dinner which was amazing. The all inclusive menu had everything that we could imagine and more

This hotel was amazing the food was great and plenty of choice, staff were friendly and helpful although could smile more, rooms were lovely light and cheery and comfy

The rooms are lovely but you are unable to control your own air conditioning. Three times we ran out of toilet roll. Choice is limited for a 4 star plus hotel. Does not cater for dietary requirements very well

Also - how can there be cilantro in literally everything? Most of everything is dry/ has been left out under a heat lamp for too long. It’s also not labelled - so if you have food allergies you’re on your own

Some feedback on alltours (travel company): the Lady was not knowledgeable about the area, she didn’t share any information at all. The tours she offered can easily be booked via Tripadvisor for half the price

One was already being greeted by a cloud of smoke. It’s als not quiet - some groups of tourists (no - not the British) are very disrespectful. Most of the staff is bored and not very friendly

Great location, beach view only 2 mins walk to beach, surrounded by shops Food - ok, we didn’t starve but constant queue for food and waiting for tables to sit at Drinks - plenty and whatever you want until 10pm Staff - very nice and friendly Entertainment - none, entertain yourself! 30pm everyday Sunbeds - plenty to go around Extras - on arrival, given food and water packed for each guest complimentary

Perfect for families with children as it is very much the offer is, everything is manageable and everything is clean. Even the toilets by the Pool are cleaned every 30 minutes. We come next year definitely again!

A very good basic+ hotel,cheap.very clean,at 1-5 minute walk to beach,shops,restaurants,bars,in the middle of action.The food are OK,bars are good,the hotel staff is very polite and kind.Hot water comes at 7 am.

The room is quite large, I have a double bed and a single. I am all inclusive and the drinks are local products with real Coke zero or normal coke. The pool is large and the area clear

Upon checking out told us to hold onto bands for 2 more hours and have lunch and enjoy the complex bit longer. Staff made the trip more enjoyable especially the young girl at bar in lobby

The only negative is the very cold pool, but we always warmed up in the water gymnastics with the animator Lara, she did not let us freeze

Checked into this hotel for a night and found staff so friendly from start to finish. Room basic but amazing shower and comfy beds. Free access to beach bar and beds on beach

Kept lovely and clean through out the hotel even the pool everyday Loads of sunloungers with 2 good size pools and a pool bar in the centre of them

This is our first time staying at this hotel. There were only positive emotions left, good rooms overlooking the sea, delicious food. The beach is very close, there are hotel sun loungers and a bar

The pools are always kept to a very clean standard, there is 3 different sizes to cater for all ages including water slides

Big hotel with lots of content for kids (kids pools, water slides, playgrounds etc. ) Young staff, willing to help as much as they can, but only receptionists speak English well

There is also on site : Doctor Shop spa (I would recommend the electric massage) Restaurant Pool bar Plenty of games and activities for all ages incl. adults Also the beach is 1 minute walk out of the bottom gate

We are a family of SIX visiting for the second time, (as big family’s will know we do struggle to find hotel rooms big enough to cater for us) the rooms available for big family’s do not disappoint

All rooms are supplied with a washer which really helps when having children

All in all, we had a lovely time, and our kid really enjoyed every day's activities, especially disco for kids with hotel's animators. The hotel definitely needs improvement but i still recommend it

You pay extra to get VIP service as such but it was a farce at the Preferred pool area, anybody could go in due to the fact orange towels are issued with your bag on arrival but once they were put for wash you were given brown towels the same as all hotel guests so in my opinion it’s wasn’t really worth the extra money

All in all this hotel was amazing and we are avid travellers staying in quite high end hotels throughout the year and place this hotel on a high rating. The beach was beautiful although we didn’t use it

The orange towels were to differ you from other guests, we did ask at reception but told no more as they were waiting on an order for them coming in 🤪🤪🤪

The hotel was excellent,staff were helpful and friendly. The choice of food was outstanding. The rooms were decorated tastefully with plenty of storage

On the flip side we got our room 1113 free all day upon our last day, so thank you it was very much appreciated

There was a large pool and a with a swim up bar and easy access to the beach. The entertainment team were brilliant,great fun was had with the daytime activities which enabled us to meet some lovely people

The hotel is 3 stars so you get what you pay. Next to pool is the best ( simple) food place and best people to serve you (with reasonable prices). If we come back it is bekose of the food place!!!

The room was clean and well decorated with stunning view to the beach.

With 4 pools and brilliant slides, our kids are still having a blast after 4 days—they spend all their time in the water and haven't gotten bored yet! The slides are very safe, and the staff is wonderful

There are plenty of bars, and the location is perfect. We did have an issue with the air conditioning in our room, but the staff quickly resolved it by giving us a new room with no hassle

Dirty wallpaper and curtains, dirt in the bathroom, in the bed stale was felt. Pools and sunbeds good, but it would be better to clean. Aquapark great for children, but without all inclusive

We are currently staying at the Kotva Hotel in Bulgaria, and we couldn't be more impressed! This is our second visit to Sunny Beach, and Kotva Hotel is definitely the winner

-There are a lot of trash around the pool and sunbeds, because people cannot keep clean. In Aqua park there are many people which are not guests of the hotel and this is very uncomfortable

Last year, we stayed at Barceló, but I have to say, Kotva surpasses it in every way. Pool bar running from 12 till 18:00 with plenty of food variety. The rooms are lovely, and the food service is well-timed

They were amazing with my 3 children,they had so much fun and they were so friendly they felt more like friends. Daniel was a gentleman and runs the team very well their all like family

I was pleased that they let me stay in my room for longer free of charge because I had a night flight. They provide us rolls, sandwiches, fruit and water which was nice. I'm not sure if I would go to that hotel again

I have stayed in at least 20 hotels in Bulgaria and this one is fine for the price paid

It's not a language barrier as some smiled and gestured to communicate. The rooms were very basic but you pay for what you get I suppose. Needs re wiring and a lick of paint or too wouldn't go amiss

Extremely clean throughout the hotel. Lots to do to keep all ages entertained. Food in the restaurant to a high standard. The only downside is that it is extremely busy around the larger pool, slides, and dining room

The restaurant was fine, but why don't the bartenders speak English? It's really strange At least the entertainment program and the animators were great. We apologize if we were loud and drank a bit too much

I’m glad that the water park doesn’t operate during rest hours — otherwise, we wouldn’t have been able to relax. The kids didn’t want to leave the pools

Clean, friendly staff, decent food. rooms cleand everyday fresh towels. Sunbeds are always available. My daughter (4) absolutely loved the pools. All inclusive drinks were decent to. Excellent location in Sunny Beach to

vegan, vegetarian & Meat lovers you won't be disappointed. McDonald's food is yummy Kids gave it 5⭐️ 24-7 water cooler and hot drinks. No need to bring beach towels they're provided. Evening entertainment is great

You want to go out no problem the staff will baby sit from 9pm-11pm for a small fee. Kids play centre, games, pool, play station all here. Currency value £1 is double no need to bring loads of cash

Stayed here for a week, found it a bit of a let down, the 2 slides are only on at certain times, hardly any staff speak English, Food is cold every night and not a great choice, and everyday during our stay approximately 50 kids turned up for some kind of summer camp about 3 times a day and filled half the pool which spoilt it for the kids who have paid to stay here

This hotel Is good and funny, The room Is beauty and confortabile. And the pool Is good with the games room,spa and all. But the service isn't very good because they don't ask indication and don't give help at the people

The outdoor pool is a bit cold in September, but the indoor pool is still hot and there is a sauna. The beach is about 3 minutes away, right next to the strip

The indoor pool's temperature was uncomfortably cold. Finally, organizing kids' club activities by age would improve the experience for children of different age groups

The whole hotel is modern, there are several bars and there is a continuous programme of activities during the day - and in the evening there are shows, which are surprisingly entertaining and of high quality

The various relaxation areas, including the indoor garden and pool, cater to different preferences. The drink selection is impressive, and the kids' club provides a fantastic space for children to play and socialize

Great hotel, I was there in summer 2023. Loved the atmosphere, service, decorations, music, location, games and animations (foam party in the pool was awesome!). The food and coffee were delicious. I surely recommend.
