Hotel Iceberg in Balchik

The room we were offered was pretty good, considering we needed accomodation for 2 adults and 2 kids and all we found everywhere else was two separate double rooms.
The view is fantastic! The pool is clean and spacious, and it has a special zone just for kids. The parking lot was pretty busy but we found great spots everytime we left the hotel.
It's very close to the castle and gardens and there is a staircase close to the reception door that gets you near the sea in 5 minutes. Not the beach (that is about 5 more minutes), just the sea promenade. There are at least 3 restaurants 5 minutes away, and you have discounts for some of them for staying at the hotel.
Overall, we loved it!

What we found not so great:
- the mattress was a bit...outdated
- there isn't always someone at the bar outside, hard to find coffee in the morning. The coffee they make is really good, there just wasn't a way to get one sometimes.
- the room was dusty :(
- no fresh towels or linens in the 5 days we've been here.

Like I've said, it was just what we needed in many aspects, so we will be coming back. It didn't disappoint, just don't expect 5 stars comfort.

We love this hotel and have been many times.....I think about 10 times in the last 2 , and we didn't go last year as we couldn't travel due to Covid-19. It's not a deluxe hotel but totally fantastic for us. A family run hotel and the staff are just so lovely! An amazing view from the front rooms.

Very nice and sweet hotel. A little outdated as I would recommend to add more electrical plugs. It is XXI century and we all need to charge everything all the time. Also needs mosquito nets. Rooms are nice and spacious. Staff is nice a helpful. Not everyone speak other language than Bulgarian. I found the breakfast a little funny as they serve you something small and mainly based on meat. Not other options for vegetarians. And no extra food haha 😁 the pool is cool, in general I do enjoy the place

It is our first day at Iceberg hotel and so far everything is excellent. The two receptionists (Maria and a Russian accent lady) were very kind, patient and completed our requests in minutes. Breakfast is amazing and the quality of service on the busy morning was great.
The life guard is very child friendly, which makes my son's swimming experience great.
As you can see the room is clean (thanks to the cleaning team).
So far I am very happy with our choice of a hotel.
Of course there are little things than need to be fixed but are so small that we don't mind (the fan in the bathroom is not working, and a bathroom curtain would be useful to keep the floor dry of water and safe.
Also we can smell someone smoking and I m sure it is not up to the hotel management but the guest understanding of the rules.
