Hotel Panorama in Panichishte

Beautiful hotel, exceptional view, AMAZING staff.. it was indeed hard to say goodbye, left with promises of coming back, feels like we made friends in Panichishte (also with the litter of cats and kittens there😻)
The sauna was cozy and functional, they also have spa spaces.
Breakfast options were limited, especially for vegetarians.

Nice view, sunny and open space, good outdoor playground.

The crew was lovely, was keen to help with anything and the price was super fair compared to what you get - a great room with an amazing view. The meals were good and fair priced.

Lovely little place for the price. Beds are comfy enough, rooms have a lovely view and the staff are very friendly.

The quality of the food on offer is quite good and we didn't order anything during our stay that we were unhappy with.

The breakfast menu is somewhat limited though offering what is essentially four different types of Sandwich.

For the room:
The bathroom is quite small and its configuration has the shower just over the toilet with the water drain on the floor in the middle of the bathroom.

The position of the drain means there is a constant bad smell coming up from the bathroom floor so leave the door closed at all times.

Something worth noting is there is no AC in any of the rooms. They get pretty toasty during the day, but thankfully in our case we were out and about during the day so this didn't have an impact on us.
At night, the cool mountain air drops the temperature significantly so leaving the balcony door open cools the room rapidly.

The balcony door also has an insect screen so it's safe to leave it open as you sleep.

A few additional things to note.

While the hotel does accept card payments, there are no ATMs anywhere close to the hotel so ensure you bring cash for everything in the area.

There is a little shop nearby - the reception desk can point you to it - it's about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel can arrange a taxi for you to get to the surrounding activities.

There is great hiking to be had in these areas so bring your hiking boots

If I find myself back in this area I would happily stay here again.

Hotel Panorama is the discovery of the year for me - a wonderful place very near the 7 Rila Lakes and the Skakavitsa Lodge and waterfall.

We arrived around 6pm and the receptionist Nikoleta greeted us like family and explained everything you need to know and beyond!
Absolutely charming young lady with amazing attitude and remarkably professional and dedicated to making your stay at the Panorama pleasant and enjoyable!

The rooms are nice and the view is fantastic - it is the Panorama - a marvellously well located hotel.

The hot water is very hot and the cold water is very cold which I absolutely love!

The bed was very comfortable and there’s a balcony with table and chairs if you want to enjoy some time there sitting in the sun and admiring the view.

The restaurant is nice and the food is great! The prices are beyond reasonable for the quality you get! The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive and would give you good suggestions for seasonal dishes or anything you ask for.

The parking area has plenty of space and there’s a very nice playground to the side of the hotel as well.

We’ll definitely visit again and as soon as we can;-)

Good isolated place, all the things in the hotel are very basic.
Good for a ski base for the 7 lakes.
The gym was great.
Breakfast is very simple.

Shower and toilet combination was a bit awkward. Service was great, food was good and the price quality ratio is excellent. We had a nice walk around the lakes during the day which is super close and could relax in the hotel with some beers and played pool in the night. Breakfast was just a sandwich with some cheese, ham and egg.

We only ate at the restaurant, so this review is only for the restaurant. The food is great, and at a fair price. We loved it, very tasty, generous (left full), and good wine (we ordered wine glasses, not bottles)! Nice view and quick service however (this is why only 4 stars) there is an issue with the order of the food. We ordered 1 starter and two meals with side dishes. First came the meat for one meal, then the side dish. After 10minutes, the starter, and after another 10 the last meal... This happened several times at different locations in Bulgaria, maybe some local habbit?
All in all, great food!

The best customer service we have experienced in Bulgaria!!! From the time of booking, throughout our stay, and even after we left (forgetting our hats in the hotel), the reception staff went over and above to accommodate all our needs and look after us in a truly caring way. The housekeeping and restaurant staff were also very polite and cheerful, providing a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The restaurant was good, but we would have liked to try more traditional Bulgarian cuisine, but this is a very minor personal preference. The views are absolutely breathtaking! When we called them after we returned home, to ask if our hats have been found, the receptionist immediately offered to have them sent to us the very next day. Nothing was too much trouble! We have stayed in this hotel several times in the past 10 years, but this year the staff attitude, the general service and the facilities have improved dramatically. I would highly recommend the hotel!
