Lovely cosy tavern with an open fire. The owner is very friendly and funny. He takes pride and care with his menu of authentic traditional Bulgarian dishes, many of which are created by his family. His own wine is delicious too. I went with a group of 11 of us and we had a lovely evening, the best meal we had on our trip. Would highly recommend!

We only experienced the restaurant but it was excellent and if the hotel is run with the same care and attention then I can imagine it’s a great place to stay.

Eating here was different to other restaurants. Michael the owner works very hard to serve every customer equally and to share his passion for the dishes on the menu. He explains the menu and shares the ideas for the dishes came from, each have a special meaning to him. We ordered a selection and some dishes were so delicious we ordered a second portion. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. It felt like a special place to eat, I highly recommend.

We found this amazing tavern when walking the authentic streets away from the ski centre. The food and atmosphere are amazing and the host is a true original. You must visit or stay at this place when visiting Bansko for the full experience of Bulgarian hospitality. Try the Bombar, it’s simply delicious. Only wish we’d found it earlier on our trip.

The BEST food I've had in Bansko! So good, that we've decided to come back for our next and final evening.

I will leave a detailed food review after my second night of trying more dishes but all you need to know is: the food amazing, the atmosphere so cosy and comfortable, and the wine is excellent. All this is tied together by a gracious and attending host.

We spent two nights here and loved it. It was everything we needed and expected and even more from beautiful clean room to delicious dinner at the tavern. Location is perfect with just a few steps to everything important but nothing noisy for light sleepers. The host is very friendly and kind and we are looking forward to coming back again!!! Highly recommend!

The food was very tasty. The taste of home kitchen. Good homemade vine. Michael is a very good host very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the place so much. Home atmosphere, traditional Bulgarian kitchen with local seasonings and style. We recommend this place.

We just need spontaneous a place for n old town so we look at this unique place in the middle of Bansko near to Centrum near to Mincipal of Bansko. Comfortable, clean and warm. Everything you need-just ask the Host Michael. Perfekt Private Parking! Go for it!

Mikael the host is a top man. Its lovely spot with a stack of history. I got a great welcome from Mikael , the food is great. Hes a super friendly / helpful host and the place is really good value for money. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here. Cheers Donald

Food was very tasty, atmosphere was also amazing and the service was exceptional! If you are in Bansko you definitely should check it out. Food is traditional bulgarian, wine is also very good and the home made bread is like no where else. Prices are reasonable even if i muss’t say low for what you get, it’s that great!! The place is definitely a must visit you will be very pleased.

Excellent traditional cuisine with a lot of options (including vegetarian), great atmosphere and very polite attitude. All the dishes that I have tried were very tasty. The chef personalIy made some recommendations and they were all great. I definitely recommend this tavern.
