Balkan in Pleven

The hotel is located close to the city center but outside of it, in a quieter neighborhood.

The rooms are disappointing for the pretense of the hotel - very basic, no air conditioning, windows locked to only crack a little, so in warm weather it's quite unpleasant. The rooms have physical keys and they can only give you one, which is quite inconvenient when you have roommates, like on a large event. The bathroom also very basic and doesn't have any form of ventilation and all the dampness from it goes into your room, which you bare can ventilate either.

The service consists of changing your towel and throwing away the trash bin, which is enough in most situations. The reception is not always helpful (that depend on the attendant on shift).

There is a paid parking and some availability of free parking spaces on the streets around, so that's not major problem.

Breakfast is subpar even by hotel standards, but nevertheless available.

Service of the restaurant is ok. Room service and housekeeping not fine. Location is good if you are on top floors the view is nice

Stayed here on business clean but basic . Staff very friendly spoke English well so made things go better. Room was clean but dated. Breakfast was leisurely and lady who was overseeing it very helpful .
