City Hotel

Very low level hotel, its stars are unnecessary. Partially renovated, entirely maintenance-free hotel. The rooms smell unpleasant, musty and dirty. Weak water pressure, pillows smell like sweat. The elevators are quite old. The restaurant is more renovated, but the food they offer is not worth trying, tasteless, they use cheap products. Some of my salad leaves had dirt on them, indicating poor kitchen hygiene. It still leaves a lot to be desired.

Stayed for only one night but the experience was rather disappointing and I would not recommend it. The room interior was tired, a bit shabby. The first thing I have noticed was the carpet. Not hoovered properly if hoovered at all. Then I went on to open the windows and there was tick black dust on the inside of the window sill so I decided against it and left the air con. At first glance the bathroom interior was fine but on a closer look quite worn out. So was the kitchen but I did not use. There was a fridge - fairly new and clean on the inside and another single bed. I went on to watch TV for some time and while laying on the coach saw a tick layer of dust on the side of the TV table. There was a hotel manual next to the TV and the phone, so I familiarized with the details and to eventually look at the restaurant menu or room service but decided to go to the city center instead for a walk and a bite. The hotel is situated a bit outside the city center but is accessible by taxi. Not to miss mentioning that there also was a wedding reception on that same evening which made the experience even noisier than expected because nobody bothered to follow the manual (it was clearly stated to keep the noise down after 11 pm). I was travelling with a group and the following morning the breakfast was organized to be served at 7:30 am and dutifully all of us were in the restaurant to find it in absolute mess after the wedding. So we had to sit and eat on a dirty tables in a dirty restaurant, assisted by the security officer (no staff around until 8 am). Breakfast was an absolute disaster for this hotel category. Overall, a very unpleasant experience and I would not return. The hotel definitely needs some TLC.

Have stayed there before. Not expensive but bath problems like bath plug not working, and shower falling off holder. Ok hotel, but a bit annoying.

The hotel is dirt,rooms are big but in terrible conditions. Food is disgusting.
