We had a gorgeous stay at Markovo Spa in November 2025. It was our first visit with a 5 month old baby and the service was exceptional for us - the adults - and for the baby. From a special SPA robe for the baby, to the fact that there is baby food available at the buffet breakfast and dinner, through the multiple pools, including kids and baby pools - we were so impressed with everything. This is easily the best hotel for families with children in South Bulgaria. Totally targeted at families with kids and one can tell that things at Markovo Spa are done with passion, professionalism and love for the guest. Will revisit very soon!

It was our 2nd time in that place. The previous time we had massage which was very good. This time we were extremely disappointed - I can put oil om my self - I do not need somebody to do that - that was OUR (both) experience with the massage. later on we paid 22 Euro to enter the other facilities which were not very appealing as well - the strong "odor" of CHLORE in the pools is so strong that our eyes were irritated and it was impossible to stay.
Sorry - Not only we will NOT return, we strongly will NOT recommend or advise to go there.

The hotel is great after the renovations, it's family (and baby) friendly and the half board even includes meals for the smallest. Also there's a ton of activities for the kids at the play center, and the pool area after the renovations is extended offering more area for the kids.

An excellent hotel all-in-all. The rooms are spacious for a family of four, a crib was provided for our little daughter, the breakfast and dinner were buffet style but tasty, with good quality and quantity, the staff was helpful and smiling and the pools were to accommodate smaller kids and older kids alike. There are 2 outside pools and 8 inside ones, the inside ranging from 0.40cm depth to 1.4 (if I am not mistaken). Also the kids inside playground and the themes they do for kids are a great touch!
There was one minor issue during our stay. During last night there was heavy rainfall and in the morning we observed that the carpet near the window was wet. The window of course was not open and the issue was reported accordingly.
If you want your kids to have fun and enjoy, I cannot think of a better hotel.

Wonderful "all in" hotel & spa complex, great service (incl. taking care of the children) and impressive restaurant - we went for à la carte but the buffet looked amazing as well. It's worth paying extra for one of their VIP apartments, we will definitely be back!

It is very nice place with quite big and hot 40C inner pools and big outer one.The pools are clean and checked often. Its very convenient for children because there are many utilities made for them. The parking is big but there is no shade so i will suggest to bring car covers (its quite hot and sunny in Plovdiv) .The restaurant on the second floor is very nice , with awesome view .The menu is good but quite short (i will suggest to the restaurant adding the menu from the restaurant on the ground floor) and the breakfast is ready good and plentiful. The restaurant/bar on the ground floor is nice but the service is really poor. You have to wait for service 30 minutes and people that are after you get everything before you even ordered (this might be just lack of good personal because of the corona) Minus one star because of that.

We are a regular guests of this hotel. The hotel had taken all precautions for the pandemic. The hotel offers great facilities for families with kids, outdoor and indoor activities, awesome spa center, great indoor and outdoor pools with hot water which was a big supprise on our first stay and one of the reasons that we come back again. Indoor and outdoor playground for kids. Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast. The service here is excellent. All the staff are extremely friendly and pleasant.Very kind and fast service,prices are very good. The hygiene is on high level everything is clean and tidy.Parking available in front of the hotel. However, the only downside of our stay where the pillows in the room. Everything was good apart from the pillows. I am utterly shocked that they allowed this to be used in a hotel like this one. There is no way possible for this not to have been noticed before. Overall everything else besides pillows was perfect. I warmly recommend !!!

Has a great view and looks like a luxury place. Unfortunately the pool was unusable on Mon and Thu. The food was not on the expected level for that price.

Water pipes making noice all night, unfrienly waitors, pool not working, probably the only spa hotel that charges hotel guests for steam bath and sauna on top of 45 euro room.
