Samloem Laguna Resort in Koh Rong Island

Such a nice stay at Laguna. The view is amazing, it's quiet, the staff are really nice and helpful. The food is really tasty and at a good price. Waking up there and having free breakfast before heading out for the day was great. Nice vibe. You do have to take the taxi boat to get to and from Saracen Beach, but they hae their own pier and will organise the boat for you, plus one night we sailed straight through luminescent plankton in the middle of the night. Amazing. Definitely recommend.

This resort is lovely and perfectly located. I’m not usually very social, but I really enjoyed the view from my porch — it’s the perfect place to unwind and let reality drift away for a while. I honestly could have stayed longer than just a week to enjoy some true dolce far niente.

The staff were amazing, making you feel welcome from the moment they pick you up until the day you leave. It’s simple, but that’s part of the charm. There are ponies, dogs, and monkeys around — and sometimes, a hornbill even greets you at your window in the morning!

Hidden gem on Sanloem. We had an amazing 4 nights, Imra’s service was exceptional and made our experience. Shoutout to the chef running the kitchen by herself. Our group of 4 had at least 20 meals combined and every single one was great. Will be returning

The staff at this resort were absolutely amazing! The manager Indrek went out of his way to make sure we got safely back to Thailand when the land borders were closed. Norman took us on the best trip and took care of us as we made adventures on our own, and Imrek must be providing the best customer service on the island — he even gave us his own soup and bread when we came too late in the night and the kitchen was closed! Katarina is probably the most hardworking maid ever. Overall, we truly felt at home here — nothing is ever a problem.

Rooms and service were honestly amazing! The lovely woman behind the desk answered all our questions extremely well and provided amazing advice - the owner and the staff were also very lovely and offered help whenever we needed. Breakfast was included in the price, and although limited options the food was amazing - exactly what was needed to start each day. Spanish omelette was particularly good! They offered an amazing boat tour as well which we did. Only slight point was that it was around a 20min walk from the main area of saracen bay, but we found this to not be an issue at all - we walked it 3 times in the dark and did not feel unsafe/unaware of where we were going. First time you walk it in the dark may not be the best experience, however we did it multiple times as mentioned and found it fine. I’m also sure they would offer a boat taxi/a separate solution if you weren’t okay with it.

Very beautiful and clean and large beds also. Food here is so good would recommend the thai green curry and it is all freshly made too. I also loved the tea they served at breakfast, think i had about three teapots worth of it. In terms of the hotel it was beautiful with gorgeous views of the sunset and though it was remote as i said the food was amazing so it didnt matter too much. The staff were also very friendly and kind helping us book taxi boats. The hotel also had its own family of animals including two very friendly dogs and a cuddly cat with a not as cuddly but very cute sister.
