The hotel is great, and the location is superb, right next to Parliament Hill. The biggest issue is the parking fee, which is over $60 plus tax per night. It's just too expensive.

Good location. Room is not too big but good enough for a short stay.

Great location in a hundred-year-old castle. The service was warm and welcoming, which made for a very pleasant experience.

Arrived and was so impressed with front lobby and staff. Albertina was wonderful and able to get us checked in early so we were able to drop bags in our room. Met Catherine who gave us a private tour - so wonderful to meet and spend time with her! Room was spacious and clean, we all thought the beds were outstanding. All hotel staff were pleasant and helpful! Just an amazing experience!

Great location, can walk everywhere, and is very close to the canal and other major attractions. Staff were very friendly, respectful, and helpful. Beautiful historic decor... totally awesome. Restaurant/Dining lounge menu may not be to all tastes, but there are multiple choice close by, including Milestones (next door), and the market square area. Was an enjoyable experience.

I loved my stay. The room was spacious, had a wonderful view of Parliament Hill, and all the amenities were accessible. Breakfast at Zoe's was great one morning. The chic and style of the hotel is classy but everything is fairly modern and made staying for 3 nights a breeze. After a long week on the road I went down Sat morning for breakfast. The 3 young ladies were in the weeds with only 6 tables. Waited for 10mins at a table not even a glass of water or offer of coffee… really expect more from this hotel. Will look elsewhere on my next trip to Ottawa. This Germain property is just not up to snuff.
