Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites in Toronto

It’s old run down hotel with super low ceilings on the room floors. The room was clean and average. Only reason to stay here was for central location.

The room wasn't big, and I didn't try the breakfast so I can't comment on it. Overall, the hotel facilities seemed a bit old and the environment wasn't great. However, given the affordable price, it was acceptable for a short, temporary stay.

beds are horrible. Bed frame came out as a sharp knife, covered with bedsheet. My wife hit that end of frame and had punctured her leg. I called the hotel office, he called the repair person in the middle of night and fixed the bed frame. My wife was with pain in the leg for 7 days.

Smoking on the front of hotel door is common and most of the time. This is the first hotel in my life in north America where hotel front door welcome you with smokers.

In the hotel rooms, smokers were found occasionally, they smoke in the corridor sometime and in the way down to parking area.

Hotel manager Kevin, excellent person, welcoming, I salute him. Since we were staying in hotel for long-term due to fire in our building. Kevin arranged a christmas party for us with gifts (millions of thanks) and also tea party before that as a welcome party. Hotel staff was very good, no complain. Laundary machines were excellent, microwaves were good to heat food. Cleaning staff was great.

Hotel restaurant was slightly expensive and but good. Tim Horton is 5 minutes walk. Underground and above ground parking was available

The rooms looked a little old, but other than that everything was fine until it came to the bathtub. The frame was not fitted against the floor, so every time you stepped in the entire bottom would move like you were walking on a pool cover. I swear to God I thought I was going to fall through the floor the first time I stepped in. Felt like you were surfing every time you showered and you couldn’t close your eyes for fear of falling over from losing your balance lol. I was in room 452

I love this hotel. It's a great price, in a convenient location (to Uber around the city) and has great amenities. They have a bar on sight (it's simple but the menu is great). They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner there too, which you can get to-go and bring to your room. The outdoor and indoor pools are both very nice - especially the indoor pool. It's very unique and aesthetic. The hallways may be a little dated but again the price and the amenities far surpassed that detail. Some rooms even have balcony access to get some fresh air from your room which is really neat. This has been our go-to hotel when we head to the city to see a concert/show.
