Great location. Being a monastery, there’s a lot of history and a beautifully curated exhibit on site. The rooms are quite small but very cozy. The shared bathrooms are spacious and regularly cleaned and has fresh towels and other amenities. The breakfast was wonderful. It’s a calm and quiet place.

Monastery experience was mediocre. We sensed that they were using the “sustainability” excuse to cheapen on what we get: barely any tissues in the bathroom, no mini fridge (not mentioned when we booked),room only had a bed (literally), no armchair, no kettle to boil some water for tea for example.. just a bed.
Especially for the price we paid (almost 400$ for one night) when other hotels offer MUCH more and a better experience for less.

Let me first say that I am not one to leave negative reviews but feel I owe it to my fellow celiacs to bring attention to this issue. This was my second trip to this establishment. Last one was 8 yrs ago.
My biggest disappointment was discovering that the amazing restaurant they had back then has been replaced by a food service that comes short especially for those of us who are gluten intolerant (celiac). Every meal, I had to ask what was gluten free and was met by: are you celiac or just prefer not eating gluten because there may be cross contamination. Most times, the food attendant had to go ask the chef and come back with the very few options and some staff appeared annoyed by my request.
One staff even said: you’re lucky tonight, there are 2 hot dishes (meat / fish in sauce) that are gluten free.
Please note that when I made my reservation, I did specify that I required gluten free options as they do ask.
Let’s just say that to be on the safe side, I ended up with only a very limited menu and was very disappointed that there was no simple carb option as rice or even potatoes but vegetables are in salads that I could not trust to be gluten free.
As well, guests seemed to love the gluten free options and there was a considerable wait for the hot meals to be replenished or they just ran out.
And yes! Despite my precautions, I got gluttened which is very unpleasant to go through.
I do however have to give high praise to reception whom were very kind and professional in my dealings with them.
In fact, Felix deserves high praise for his professionalism.

Good location and clean, has a back door for going to the Main Street. Room is smaller than I though

I also stayed at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, but this place captured my heart in a completely different way.
It’s quiet, calming, and beautifully connected to nature. Everyone I met was kind, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. There’s a special energy here — a sense of peace that makes you slow down and simply breathe.
The morning “meditation walk” was a highlight of my stay — such a grounding and refreshing experience.
I honestly wish I had stayed longer; it’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. (Cannot leave without mentioning the history and art!)

This might be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in!

The location was fantastic - we arrived by VIA rail and it was an easy walk from the train station, while also being so close to all the major attractions. Despite being so central, the Monastère exudes peace and tranquility.

We stayed in a contemporary room, which was small, but beautiful and quiet, with an excellent little reading nook. The bed was so comfortable!

The food was incredible - we loved the silent breakfasts included in our stay (This is the first hotel breakfast I’ve had that felt genuinely nourishing), and the lunch we got from the takeout counter once.

The staff was always welcoming and friendly and very willing to let me practice my rusty French without automatically switching to English, which I appreciated!

The crepe was bigger than I thought. It has a soft, warm, mild, and delicious taste. Service is really good. This restaurant is the best place to eat breakfast. It is underestimated.

Another fantastic visit to this crepe restaurant. Great prices with fresh food. Couldn't get the berries so banana was the only fruit option. Very generous portion size. Worth a visit for a crepe.

Beware if you are a vegetarian. Very limited choices. Just an after thought. Almost everything has bacon or ham in it. Even soups. Cosy n warm ambience. Can't comment on meat items. For vegetarian items little expensive. Like most buildings in the capital, not really well heated.

The service was nice but slow it is a typical “tourist trap” avoid it. We ask for sweet crepes they said no fruits that Tuesday! My wife order one ham and Swiss full wheat and it only have one slice of ham and one slice of cheese! It was ridiculous. The answer they gave us was because there was not enough ingredients. Go figure; the actitud was pretty much if you don’t like it don’t come back.
So we won’t ever be back!

The food is very nice. The service was okay, but they forgot part of my order. I had to remind them I ordered soup so I had soup after my main course. Otherwise, a good place and not very expensive.

Nice place to have a good beer! In addition, the view is superb! Beautiful terrace on st-jean and full of shop and restaurant nearby! The service was friendly and fast. The St-Patrick burger and the fish'n'chip were very good. We would go back!

We decided to come here even after reading the bad reviews and we were NOT disappointed. The food is incredible, the drinks are incredible and service was great!! There was only one waitress/bartender working upstairs but I did not feel neglected at all! The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and they have good music playing! Also, there are TVs with sports on (my husband was very happy lol). I wish I had found this place sooner!

Really like this place. Been here 3 times (every time we've gone to QC). Right in the heart of Vieux-Quebec, great spot to have a beer. It's split into a couple spots: there's an upstairs dining / bar area, then there's a downstairs which is much larger, more for drinking than eating. Downstairs, there is a nice cozy room with the omnipresent QC exposed stone and a fireplace. Overall, food is prob a 7-7.5/10 but atmosphere is great, location is great.

We stopped here for lunch. They were packed. Despite this, we were seated on the patio and served promptly. I had the grilled salad and it was perfect if you don't want a heavy meal. Great selection of craft beers and I enjoyed the Charles Henri Amber.

Excellent burger place if you are looking for a nice and casual dinner. For an app, we had the regular poutine hat had a very delicious sauce and cheese curds spread throughout. I had the inter-travailleur burger that had onions, bacon, a tomato, an onion ring and bbq sauce piled into a bun. Very busy restaurant but the waiting time for the apps and the meal was actually pretty decent and appropriately timed. Pricing was pretty standard for a burger in the area. I’d definitely come back again.

Les Trois Garçons is located in the heart of the Quebec city tourist area. Its a good place to relax and kick back and enjoy the food. Staff are efficient and friendly. Love the decorations aa well.

Went here for happy hour and got a couple of cocktails that were a buck off for the happy hour so nothing too special. But half way through our drinks the waitress tells us that we have to order food because they didn't have a permit for only serving drinks. The waitress tried to force us into eating there even after being kind about"just having happy hour drinks". I really felt like the waitress was trying to take advantage of us because they thought we were foreigners to Canada. They really seem to prey on tourists but I can only speak of my single visit to this establishment as you can count on me never returning.
