Paid extra for a spacious queen room with three pentagonal windows. The room was 1/4 the size of what we saw in the pictures and it was terrible. I also paid extra for a parking space, they gave us spot 7 but someone else took it. They told us to park at any other available spot. It didn't make sense for me to be paying extra for reserving a spot when this was going to happened. Additionally, there was no receptionist at the front. Nothing is maintained and it is just chaotic here. Customer service is also terrible, they just don't care and lie about the rooms. I'm considering reporting to the OPC about this. As a consumer, I don't feel I got what I paid for and feel I'm being scammed. It feels like a violation of the Consumer Protection Act.

The pictures weren't deceptive and i saw the floor plan. I know you have the room just like the picture. What's really hypocritical is the fact that I talked to your on-the-phone virtual receptionist about this and you have four rooms under the same name and same price but different sizes. Also, you only have that picture to advertise all those four rooms. How can you say this wasn't false advertising when only one guest out of the four who reserved the place gets the room in the picture?

Room very well taken care of, great location and very cute. If you are someone who struggles with stairs or online check ins i wouldn't recommend. However i loved the charm of the hotel and it provided us with access to alot of sights without having to drive!

Very contemporary. Nice setup except it’s non personnel accommodation. Need to press # sign after you enter your code from main entrance

Lack of staffing & no refilling of tea/coffee or changing of towels at housekeeping. Someone entered our room while we were still in there without knocking???

I planned this trip to Montréal to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and was genuinely excited about it. What should have been a nice, meaningful getaway ended up leaving me feeling unsettled, disappointed, and honestly shaken — not just by the stay itself, but by what happened afterward.

From the very beginning, things felt wrong. We had trouble even getting into the building because the electronic key system was confusing and unreliable, which left us standing outside in the cold trying to figure out how to enter. When we finally got inside, I was startled to see that the main entrance door had been broken and replaced with a sheet of plywood. This wasn’t some back entrance or temporary interior repair — it was the front door. Seeing that immediately made me feel unsafe.

Inside the building, there was a strong chemical smell that gave both of us headaches and made it hard to relax. It lingered and added to the overall feeling that something wasn’t right.

The room itself had basic issues that shouldn’t happen anywhere presenting itself as a hotel. There was no soap in the bathroom, the TV didn’t work, and the stairs were extremely narrow and steep, with no elevator, which was not clearly disclosed when booking. There was also no front desk or staff on site, which made the entire experience feel unattended and isolating.

What upset me most was that this was supposed to be a birthday trip — something special — and instead it felt stressful and disappointing.

I stayed here alone for one night and overall had a great experience. The hotel is very well located, extremely clean, and the rooms are spacious, cozy, and comfortable. I really appreciated the smart TV, mini fridge, and coffee setup in the room. There’s also a shared kitchen downstairs in the lobby, which is a big plus.

One thing to note: the walls are very thin, and you can hear quite a lot from neighboring rooms.

Other than that, I really loved my stay and would definitely recommend it, especially for a solo stay or short visit.

I prepaid for an EV parking spot because I needed to charge my car. However, when I arrived in the evening, my designated spot was occupied by another vehicle. I called customer service several times before finally getting through. They said they would ask the manager to coordinate, but the car was never moved.

I then tried to park in another EV spot, but that charging station was broken, which left me unable to charge at all. It wasn’t until 10:30 the next morning that the Volvo—an ICE car that didn’t even need charging—finally moved. Fortunately, I still had enough range to drive a few kilometers to charge elsewhere; otherwise, it would have been a very scary situation.

In the room, there were two heaters, and one of them was broken and not working. The bathroom has a glass window with only a sheer white curtain. It felt very unsafe when showering, as it was clearly visible from outside. Overall, the experience was very poor.

Parking was easy and well organized. The staff kept me up-to-date on everything. It was really a great experience in an extraordinary city. I plan to go again this coming summer, to this same hotel, Hotel Charles-Alexandre - Par Aneyro

Do not stay here. No staff and they didn’t send the access codes, so checking in was unpleasant Very uncomfortable mattress and chairs. No staff so no fresh towels, no room service, not welcoming. You could see through the door to the room and hear everyone else’s business in the building. Stay here for old, dilapidated furnishings and leave as soon as you can. We ended up leaving early because of the lack of privacy and the other unpleasant things in that room.

No on site staff. Access through electronic codes works well however really a self serve feel. Rooms need an updating. Bed was comfortable however bathroom needs a renovation. Price for the room did not match expectations.

Patio is nice but right on Dundas so can get busy. Inside is very small but good selection of beers.

AMAZING!!! Love it! Very well managed, great and fast service regardless of how crowded it is. A blend of casual and elegant atmosphere, with TVs all around so you dont miss any action.

Husband and I decided on Blaxton after shopping the menus in the area. It was moderately busy and we were seated right away.
Huge drink menu! I ordered the fish and chips, it was great, although the batter could use a bit more flavour. Hubby had the steak and said it was great. Service was fast and friendly! We'd go back.

Wonderful dining experience on a very popular street. The food was fantastic including the poutine and brie burger I had. The beer selection was good as well. Sitting outside was wonderful on a warm summer night, but the inside has plenty of sports bar/restaurant charm as well.

C’est un resto si on veut faire « une vraie sortie » pour se gâter! Nourriture de qualité. Recettes originales et service impeccable. L’un des meilleurs restaurants gastronomiques à Québec.

For a Bistro, it is really pretty dang good. I like Bistros and I like things that are good. That means, I go to this place often and enjoy all the goodness. Five stars for you!

It was our first time visiting Bistro B and I have to say it was the best food we ate in Quebec. The service was absolutely amazing, very friendly , knowledgeable, and professional. The food was perfect and delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone that visits this city. A must come back when I visit here again!!!!!!!
