This time was much better than the last. At least there were no issues with the facilities. However, you can really hear the noise from next door while trying to sleep. Everything else was fine; cleanliness and service were both okay.

The hotel's location is convenient with great views. They even offer complimentary afternoon tea and late-night snacks! You can see the Pearl River and Canton Tower from here. Celia provided excellent service [Joyful].

The river view room is worth staying in. The soundproofing in the hallway could be better; you can always hear doors opening and closing from the room. When I checked in, there were melon seed shells on the floor, and it was never cleaned during my entire stay. Also, every time I drove out of the hotel parking lot, I had to inform them to open the barrier. Couldn't they just grant access for the entire duration of my stay? Overall, it was still pretty good.

Our family of five—two adults and three kids—had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Elegant Hotel in Guangzhou recently, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found something special.

Location, Location, Location!
The hotel is situated in a vibrant, lively district surrounded by dozens of fun restaurants and buzzing bars right downstairs. Whether we wanted authentic Cantonese dim sum, sizzling hot pot, or just a relaxing rooftop drink after the kids went to sleep, everything was within a two-minute walk. The area has a fantastic, safe energy day and night—great for families but also exciting for parents looking for a little nightlife nearby.

Stunning New Hotel with Breathtaking Views
The property itself is brand new, and it shows. The lobby is sleek and modern, the rooms are spotless, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered us a jaw-dropping panorama of the Guangzhou skyline. Waking up to that view every morning felt like a dream. Everything felt fresh, well-designed, and thoughtfully laid out—even with five of us sharing space, we never felt cramped.

The Vibe
There’s a really cool, upbeat atmosphere both inside the hotel and in the surrounding neighborhood. It manages to be chic without being pretentious, and family-friendly without feeling chaotic. The area is walkable, lively, and full of character—exactly what you want when exploring Guangzhou.

Above-and-Beyond Service – Thank You, LiLi!
What truly set our stay apart was the incredible service, especially from a staff member named LiLi. On our very first day, exhausted from travel, our youngest daughter urgently needed the toilet while we were still checking in. LiLi noticed our stress immediately, gently took our daughter by the hand, and personally escorted her to the restroom and waited to bring her back. That small act of kindness lifted a huge weight off our shoulders and set the tone for the entire trip.

But LiLi didn’t stop there. She also took the time to help us set up ******* on our phones—something that can be tricky for international travelers. She patiently walked us through the app, helped translate key menus, and showed us how to order groceries and meals right to the hotel. Thanks to her, we were able to easily feed our family of five with local favorites delivered straight to our door. LiLi is a true asset to the Elegant Hotel, and I hope management knows how much her warmth and efficiency meant to us. We were able to get Michelin star wonton noodles. Yuuuum

Perfect for a Family of Five
Traveling with three kids is never easy, but this hotel made it seamless. The rooms were spacious enough for all of us, the staff were endlessly patient with our children, and having so many dining options downstairs meant we never had to drag tired kids far for a meal. The modern amenities, coupled with the lively yet safe surroundings, made it an ideal base for our family.

If you’re looking for a spotless, stylish, brand-new hotel in a fun, restaurant-and-bar-filled neighborhood of Guangzhou, book the Elegant Hotel. And if you’re lucky enough to cross paths with LiLi, you’ll leave with not just great memories, but a real sense of being cared for.

The room is very good and the reception is very nice Xiaomin is very good service and the self service laundry is excellent with free washing and dryer, spacious with couch and tv to relax. Breakfast selection is above expectations with a variety of selections suitable for family with kids. Reception service is impeccable, they will try to accommodate whatever requested we have. Gym room is also well setup with a mini playground for kids.

The room view was absolutely stunning, and my kids loved it. Breakfast was decent, and the beef noodles were delicious. The hotel's underground parking was convenient, and the attendant there was exceptionally kind and helpful. A big thank you to him!

My partner and I specifically booked a river-view room with breakfast for two for 15 days. The hotel's facilities are excellent, and the staff, from the reception on the first floor to the front desk and bar on the 28th floor, were all very nice. This trip, I deliberately chose to experience four different hotels over four days. However, what was set to be a perfect experience was slightly marred by a small unpleasantness during breakfast at the restaurant entrance with one of the two reception staff.

My companion was too tired to go to the restaurant for breakfast and specifically asked me to bring back some bread and sausage (see picture below). When I entered the restaurant, I mentioned this to the staff, and they very enthusiastically said, 'No problem, just put it on a plate, and we'll pack it for you.' After I finished eating, one of the staff members kindly packed the food for me. The other then asked me to sign a form stating the regulations. Up to this point, I thought it was perfectly reasonable. However, what she said next made me instantly uncomfortable. She explained that according to regulations, taking food out is not allowed, which is why I needed to sign. I was speechless. We had paid for two breakfasts, and the signature was simply to acknowledge that the other person was considered to have 'attended' – it's not the same as one person taking too much food for themselves. I didn't argue with the young lady, but I felt the hotel's staff training was a bit lacking in this area. It might seem like a small thing, but it has a significant impact.

We travel a lot for golf and have stayed in many hotels. Sometimes, when we have early tee times and can't make it to breakfast, all hotels, after being informed in advance, will pack breakfast for us, complete with eggs and coffee. The amount of breakfast provided is more than enough for one person. This comparison felt quite hurtful. If the staff member had instead warmly asked if I had enough or if I needed more vegetables, drinks, etc., the guest would feel incredibly touched. This isn't about the 100+ yuan; it's about how such words can feel like a 'soft knife' to a guest. For someone with a certain level of sensibility, try to imagine how that feels.
