Dong Fang Hotel in Shanghai

Our room was very, very dirty, especially the carpet. There was a pair of old, used disposable slippers in the corner of the bedroom and old watermelon pips in the bathroom and on the carpet. The room smelled terrible and I booked a seaview but our view was on an electricity connection and no seaview at all. The only good thing about the hotel was the free shuttle service to the airport. The breakfast was not too bad but there were no glasses available for milk or juice. I would give this hotel 1 out of 10.

The hotel was so old. And not clean at all with smell of cigarets. At night difficult to sleep because of nouse of airplanas. Only one thing is good breakfast. Other things is bad

The room was ok relatively clean, the carpet was badly stained!! A/C worked fine, bed ok  the shower drain blocked and became a footpath.
The biggest Lie in there advertising was the pick up drop of at Pudong airport!!’ I booked for 2 nights as I was arriving at 5 am and flying out at 9pm so needed the room for 2 days, I notified them of this with my flight details, times etc  and thst I would require pickup. I purchased an e sim so I could ring them from the airport to give them 1 hours notice as the specified, the reception girl did not speak English!! I then got information gentleman in the airport to ring for me and translate to me, after his call he tells me they will come after 11am??? I was at the airport after a 11 hr flight and it was just after 6am. I then got dropped to the  hotel at my cost so I could have breakfast and sleep. When I arrived  through the receptionist translation phone I asked her to confirm that I will get a lift back to the airport  at 5-30 pm her response was just come down notify me and wait for car for 10 minutes. 
I came down later to go to airport and  she tells me no car available you have to pay for taxi do you have Alipay, no I said  then she asked do you have card  on your phone again I said no and she said you have to pay as we don’t have car in the afternoon only morning when I couldn’t get one??! I asked her to get a taxi as I needed to get to the airport but I had no way of paying, she did organise that and taxi did not ask for payment. 
To me I it seemed like a massive scam after they advertise pick up drop off included free!!  When I told her I couldn’t pay I think  she realised I was calling her on it as a rip off of tourists and particularly non Chinese speaking ones. 
Breakfast consisted of Chinese food no coffee or tea facility.
