The mattress in the room was too soft; I completely sank into it when lying down, offering no support whatsoever. After waking up, my back would often ache. Although the air conditioning was blowing after I adjusted the temperature, the room temperature barely dropped, making it a bit stuffy with the windows and doors closed.

Acceptable hotel near Shanghai's financial district. Price-performance ratio is okay for the location and the room outlook. However, the hotel is getting old, so carpets and furniture are now very dirty and worn. Cleaning service does not always adhere to the "do not disturb" note on the door. The hotel was ok, there was an issue with my rooms and i was moved twice, but ended up being upgraded as a small compensation. The guy on the front desk whose name i do not remember was brilliant, he helped me to arrange a PCR test locally and a taxi to get me there, absolutely brilliant. I was able to book a last minute room, they provided a shuttle to and from the airport for free, and the room was clean. They had shampoos etc. It was a comfy accomadation for a dreadful 18 hour layover in the middle of typhoon weather. FREE WIFI!!
