Chengdu Wenjun courtyard Hotel in Chengdu

Good food, nice location and the rooms have what you need and are clean and comfortable. What really made our stay great was the impeccable service.

First time in Chengdu and I was really happy at this hotel. The staff Laureina, Frank and Emma really helped provide me with everything I needed or asked about travel. Good food here. Great location as it’s close to metro station to get to People’s Park and to Chengdu East Railway Station. The Shufeng yayung opera theatre is almost opposite the and I walked to Kuan Alley for an explore. My room was good, comfortable bed, quiet and a decent hot shower and enough space. Nice complimentary chrysanthemum tea in the reception area. I’d stay here again no worries. The place has a lovely charming courtyard. Thank you team for a lovely time for my first trip to China.

Excellent hotel! The front desk staff, especially the young lady, was incredibly enthusiastic. I stayed for 3 days straight and will definitely be back.

The room was clean and tidy with stylish decor, comfortable bedding, and excellent soundproofing. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, and housekeeping service was prompt and friendly. There was plenty of hot water, stable WiFi, and good quality toiletries. The location was convenient, offering great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again! Highly recommended!

Staying at Wenjun Mansion during the ***** New Year of the Horse was an amazing experience! The ancient-style courtyard design, with its red walls and black tiles, was filled with a festive atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for photos. Booking the New Year's Eve dinner was easy, and the dishes were authentic. The staff were warm and attentive, showing great attention to detail. It truly lives up to its reputation as a historic courtyard hotel. I'll definitely be back!

This place is truly wonderful! Sitting on the terrace, gazing at the quaint old houses and the distant high-rises, feels absolutely magical. The room is clean and cozy, and you can even try on Hanfu for photos. With little trinkets everywhere saying "Fu Wang" (prosperity) and "Peace and Joy," the festive New Year atmosphere instantly comes alive. The small red horse doll on the table is super cute too, making every casual shot look like a masterpiece. Staying here, everything slows down, it's incredibly therapeutic – this is the kind of relaxed vibe you want for Chinese New Year!

The environment is lovely and I really enjoyed the style. It's a great place to relax at lunchtime, where you can eat in the restaurant, enjoy a cup of tea, and even experience traditional Hanfu. It's perfect for tourists, super comfortable and a five-star recommendation! 🥰🥰

My wife and daughter stayed here and raved about their mushroom soup, saying it was absolutely superb and great value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and even brought a complimentary fruit plate. Plus, they helped with luggage when going up and down floors. They also got to try out Hanfu for free! They've already said they want to stay at this hotel again next time.

From the first moment I saw pictures of this hotel, I fell in love with its elegant, antique, and charming vibe. My stay only deepened that affection. The street outside is lined with ancient trees, quiet and clean. The hotel's entrance gate is classically grand, and even more beautiful when lit up at night. To find such a tranquil, almost time-travel-like retreat amidst the bustling streets, I truly felt lucky to have chosen the right place.

What's more, the hotel is only about 200 meters from Tonghuimen Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. Kuanzhai Alley is within walking distance, and it's not far to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, with ride-sharing services being super convenient and affordable. The courtyard itself is dotted with various cozy seating areas, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers everywhere, creating a fresh, elegant, and very comfortable atmosphere. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were all warm and attentive, and there were even greeters at the entrance to help with luggage and escort us upstairs – every aspect of the service was incredibly thoughtful.

The room offered great value for money. We stayed in a twin room, which was clean and tidy, equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator, a kettle, a smart toilet, and a hairdryer, with hot water readily available for showering. Each day, they thoughtfully provided complimentary coffee, tea, and bottled water. Having stayed for 7 days, this was by far the most comfortable and satisfying travel experience I've had. If only I had more time, I would have loved to extend my stay for a few more days, as I didn't get a chance to sit in the courtyard, sip tea, and sample the hotel's cuisine. I'll definitely make up for that small regret on my next visit! 🥰🥰

The courtyard is elegant and quiet, and the hotel service is excellent. The room facilities are complete and clean. There are also parks and a subway station nearby, all very close to the attractions, which is really convenient.
