Camping Paklenica in Starigrad

We stayed here for almost two weeks in August. The campsite is in a beautiful location with lots of trees, even near the beach. The beaches are rocky but with easy access to the clean sea. Toilets and showers were very well maintained and always clean. There are also kids’ activities in summer and Wi-Fi across the whole campsite.

On the downside, the pool area needs more attention. There are two pools (one for kids, one larger), but with no supervision. The water looked clear, but the bottom often had sand, papers, and pine needles. Reception staff couldn’t confirm if or when the pools were cleaned. The pool steps were demaged after 10 days, and none of the four showers by the pool were working. There are sunbeds and umbrellas available, but no shower near the sandy volleyball court, so kids rinsed off in the pool instead. Staff also didn’t ensure quiet hours were respected. My recommendation is to build one shower close to sandy volleyball court.

Overall, with better care for the pools and facilities, this would be a solid 4-star campsite. For now, I’d rate it about 3.5 stars. I’m talking about camping rate star, not google rate.

Given the cleaning fee, we expected a higher level of cleanliness. Some of the mobile homes are also farther from the beach than depicted in the photos. There’s room for improvement in sustainability efforts, such as better recycling options and care for stray animals. That said, the location is excellent for visiting Paklenica National Park, and we appreciated the early check-in and free parking.

Amazing stay at Camp Paklenica
We loved staying at camp Paklenica the mobile home was perfect for what we needed. The staff were very friendly and wanted to make sure everything was ok for us. The beach was were we spent most of our time as it was lovely. Beautiful sunsets. We walked in the national park up the mountain beautiful scenery.
We hope to stay again next summer but will hire a car to explore more of the area.

We had a great time here staying in one of their seaside mobile homes. The indoor space was a little bit tight, but very thoughtfully laid out and functional. We stayed here for three days, but would have happily extended our stay if we had been able to, one of the highlights of our vacation.

It was possible to squeeze two camper vans and one car with a trailer on one camping space right next to the water. We were 6 people in total. It was a little bit crowded all around, but all comfy, quiet and cozy. The bathrooms were clean, nothing to be unhappy about.
The staff was polite and eager to discuss the price and solutions of our stay.

We are currently in this camp and I can only say that the camp will continue to be our choice for family vacations in the future.
We have vacationed in more luxurious camps before, but the atmosphere and feeling in this camp is unbeatable! 🌞😊
The camp is surrounded by wire on all sides, which gives an additional sense of security. Our children walk around the camp without fear and stay alone at the pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The mobile home is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay, and if you need something extra, feel free to contact the 24-hour reception. The entire camp area is very neat and clean, as is the mobile home.

One big 10 for the support and service. We came to the camp at 33 degrees. They gave us a pitch in the full sun. Not any spot of shadow. We went back to ask for some shadow. They gave us the map
And we could choose any spot we want (spots occupied where marked). So helpful and nice. Toilets could be cleaner. Overall nice to had such a good help for a good shadowed spot

Camping with two kids turned out to be a great experience at Bluesun Camping Paklenica. The beach is beautiful, the sanitary block is cleaned at least two times a day, pitches have enough shade and are equipped with electricity, which is included in the price. The store is right by the camp and the restaurant is in the camp. Usage of the pool is also included in the price, as is fabulous animation for kids and adults by the entertainment team. We're coming back :)
