Centinera Resort & Camping in Pula

After much deliberation, we decided on the Centinera Resort because we booked very late and the location right by the sea had convinced us. We booked directly through the resort. We spoke to a very nice lady who spoke good German on the phone and then booked. There were three of us traveling (2 adults, 1 child aged 11). We chose an apartment with a breakfast buffet. The location of the apartment right by the sea is very nice for families. Unfortunately, the exterior of the apartments looks rather cheap and the stairs and floor a bit dusty and dirty because the material seemed difficult to maintain. Inside, however, we were in a more positive mood; everything was clean and inviting. There are two balconies with a side view of the sea, but unfortunately they are too small. It would have been nice if they were a bit bigger (there is hardly any room for three people). We did manage to eat dinner on the balcony a few times, but it was extremely cramped and the table was very small (there is a larger table in the kitchen, but we wanted to eat outside). The breakfast buffet was a huge disappointment for us. Everything seemed cheap and lacking in care. So we canceled breakfast for the rest of the days and catered for ourselves, which we were much happier about. The kitchen is very minimally equipped (for example, there was only a small cutting board and the stove only had two burners, which sometimes didn't even fit two pots at once). Despite this, I managed to cook a few delicious meals for my family, but it wasn't easy. The cleaning ladies were always friendly and changed the towels daily and made the beds once. They also always asked nicely if we needed anything else. I just wished the floor had been cleaned every now and then (but I didn't ask, they definitely would have). Cleaning products for the toilet so we could clean it ourselves now and then would have been nice too. The bay is very beautiful and the water is clear. To the left, it's very busy and there's hardly any shade; a water trampoline, pedal boat, kayak, etc. Everything is available. Be sure to bring a lounger or padded mat. To the right, it's rocky, a bit quieter there, and there are some shady spots, and you can also snorkel there. The restaurant is okay; the coffee is cheap and the pancakes are delicious; however, we wouldn't eat there; there's live music every evening. Parking was easy and close to the apartment. The resort's location is ideal for excursions by car (Medulin, Pula, Cape Kamenjak, Rovinj, Hawaii Beach...), but we wouldn't recommend it without a car. We only saw the lady at the reception briefly, but she seemed unfriendly. The Centinera Resort is really beautifully located, and children will have tons of fun with the water activities on offer. You can choose from two different beach areas.

Location directly on the seafront. Very modern, spacious, and clean rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, there are few vegetarian dining options nearby. The reception staff was rather unfriendly. The rest of the hotel staff was friendly. Parking is not always available at the hotel (depending on the time of day and travel time).
