Bluesun Hotel Borak in Bol

I stayed at this hotel for just under two weeks and overall had a good experience. The hotel itself is nice, the breakfast was very good, and the pool area was excellent — clean, spacious, and we never had any issues finding available sunbeds. The location is also great, with a short walk to the beach and about 10 minutes to the town center where most restaurants are located.

The hotel staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

That said, there are definitely areas that need improvement. The room cleaning service was poor. Trash bags were left behind, and used glasses we had set aside were not removed or cleaned. Also, toiletries and toilet paper were not consistently restocked, which was frustrating.

Another downside is the lack of proper facilities for guests who have checked out but still have time to spend at the hotel. We had a late evening flight and asked for a late check-out but were told it wasn’t possible. There was no designated space to shower or change clothes after spending the day at the pool, unless a vacant room happened to be available — something I’ve never experienced at other hotels I’ve stayed at, where such facilities are usually standard.

Despite these issues, I would definitely recommend this hotel. With some small improvements — especially in cleanliness and post check-out amenities — it could be an even better experience

It was a dream stay at the Borak Hotel.
I thought that after 2.5 months since August my impressions of the stay would be nullified, but no.
The feelings are the same even now - as soon as you leave, you have a strong desire to return.

This hotel is located at a really nice location. 100m from the first beach, and in the middle between Zlatni Rat beach and Bol city. Each direction is a 10 min walk. Hotel has a pool in front, with free towels too. Food was good, great variety for both breakfast and dinner, with some snack food from 12-17 offered. Room we had with a sea view was great, clean and tidy, with a really nice bathroom. It is worth paying extra for the sea view room. Staff were very friendly and nice, quick on their feet. Highly recommended if you are staying in Bol.

We came back two days ago - went for 8 nights with my wife. The hotel is located on a walkway to the Zlatni Rat beach. In front of the hotel and across the promenade surrounded by pine trees there is a nice beach with turquoise water. Bars and restaurants are nearby so the location is perfect. Hotel food is great. Every night there are like 3 types of fishes (tuna, swordfish, sea bass, squid...). Everything is prepared that day and is really fresh. The rooms are clean and maintained everyday. The stuff are polite and treat you with respect. The hotel offers a free usage of pool, gym. The parking is also in offer(which is extra pay but it is not so expensive). Will definitely come back and I recommend this hotel to all types of the guests: families with children as well as pairs. The Bol is perfect place for rest - i was on Hvar, Mali Losinj, Cres island, Rovinj... But the Bol is one of the best places i visited together with my wife on Croatian part of Adriatic sea

Fantastic hotel overall. The location is insane, you can walk straight down to the beach. Outside there is also a really beautiful pool area, with a nice bar area at its side. One time we came back after visiting the Bol there was an acapella group performing there (very good), so the hotel do try to do the little extra for their customers.

The ladies in the reception deserve a special mention for always smiling and being very helpful. Great service. The breakfast was also great.

The only thing I missed was a cable-machine in the gym with different handles, but as it’s a hotel not a gym it’s not a big deal. They already have dumbbells and a lat pulldown machine so you can get many exercises in.

I would point out that the cleaning personnel was a little noisy talking loudly in the morning during our stay, but this was not a big deal either.

Overall we had the time of our lives here, and will be returning. Thank you for a wonderful time Borak!
