Aminess Laurel Khalani Hotel in Makarska

I was a bit skeptical after reading some negative reviews but the hotel and staff definitely exceeded our expectations.
We got a free upgrade with our room and it was big and had a lovely view of the sea. Our room was cleaned everyday (even when we forgot to leave the tag outside on the door) and was provided with a complimentary bottle of water as well.
The facilities were clean and not too busy. Great activities for kids - the staff were warm and playful (my daughter loved them!).
Lots of choices at the breakfast and dinner buffet. Some dishes could have been executed better but overall, a good experience and plenty for everyone. The staff made sure that the dishes were replenished, plates on tables were cleaned away as soon you finished, and plenty of wait staff to take drinks orders.
The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. Overall, a positive experience staying at this hotel.

The hotel is located near the old town - a nice 30 minute stroll or a €5-
€7 Uber ride. We went during the off-season so a lot of places were closed but some lovely restaurants and cafes still open. A nice little town to wander around.

Fairly new modern hotel on outskirts of Makarska. Good location and views from seaview bedroom and rooftop bar superb. Bedroom huge comfortable and spotlessly clean as is the rest of hotel There is a pretty walkway to Makarska town centre taking about 30mins. You will find a selection of cafes bars and restaurants on way and in Makarska itself. The streets in the old town are very quaint with art gallerys, boutiques and cafe/bars. You will also find boat trips leaving for the islands of Hvar and Brac.
The hotel has plenty of facilities to keep all age groups happy and there is also a small private beach for guests use in front of the hotel.
Generally the service is good but queues at breakfast very frustrating for coffee etc. The buffet breakfast was good but not stocked well enough for demand. The evening buffet service was disappointing as alot of the food was luke warm and often overcooked. I would suggest if staying here go on a bed & breakfast option as there are good restaurants nearby

Overall my experience here was incredible. Most of the staff were lovely and welcoming especially at reception and Kristina was amazing. The roof top bar had a breath taking view but we only went once since the service there wasn’t the best. We would have gone there more often if we were given better service so instead we stayed downstairs or went out for a drink instead. The room was really clean and tidy but two days in a row we didn’t get any refreshments for the room so we had to ask for them at reception. Overall I would highly recommend going to this place and I’ll probably end up staying here again in the future.

Our family had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. We were traveling with two children, and everything - from the food to the cleanliness, the attentive service, the kids’ animation program, and the evening entertainment, was absolutely outstanding. We also greatly enjoyed the spa and massage treatments. We took several sessions and were very impressed with both the quality of the service and the overall spa experience.
This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are certain that we will return again in the future. Highly recommended!

The staffs are welcoming. They helped me with car parking and luggage. The breakfast is fair, with various choices.
The only downside is the price drop of the room we booked. There is a price drop of over 40 euros on the day of arrival. So it is better to use We Price Match to claim the differences.

Room on the 8 floor with balcony overlooking the sea 👍
