Its very clean and for the price is very good, really. The lady from the reception is really helpful and caring trying to do the best for us like clients! Thank you Mrs Maria ❤️
Lovely stay in the centre of Kakopetria. You can walk to the nearby village Galata without even knowing it since the two villages have reached both their borders. It is a lovely and cozy 2.5km walk from this hotel. Mrs Maria who is the owner is very polite and supportive
Lovely calm place to stay. Comfortable beds and room with nice cosy teras. Family atmosphere and very friendly hosts. Perfect place to stay and to rest in cypriot countryside. I highly recommend.
I had the best morning coffees and the best night cocktails ever! I highly recommend it to everyone!
The most friendly and helpful staff.

Ok, this may not be your dream hotel or the most posh one you've ever visited. The rooms are small, the breakfast very basic and the views not the best. Overall though, this is an amazing opportunity to enjoy Kakopetria, right in its center, without going bankrupt. The prices are very affordable and the service polite and genuinely friendly. Just imagine that you can enjoy a Greek coffee on the porch...
Excellent Stay! Highly Recommend! We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The price was very affordable, and despite that, the owner was extremely hospitable and kind. He helped us with all our questions and even recommended a great restaurant for dinner. Our room was very clean and freshly renovated, which made our stay even more comfortable. We stayed on the fourth floor, and the view from our balcony...
Nice hotel, perfect location. Relaxed atmosphere - Mr Andreas, his uncle and Staff, (Chambermaid - Waiters and barman friendly, helpful. Overall Exceptional Service. Food very good, home taste, (breakfast, lunch and dinner). For sure we will see you again !!! Thank you.
an old-fashioned hotel, in the good sense of the word, for a large number of people. We are in the off-season, almost no one is there. Dear owner, delicious breakfast, very clean.
To say we got a room at all on christmas day is almost beyond belief. The hotel was fully booked and busy with guests, the owner gave us a friendly welcome and couldn't believe we had walked 30km to Kakopetria that day in cold winter weather. We were very glad for a warm room with a good hot shower. Yes the hotel is basic and the furniture is dated, but if the service is this good even on the busiest...
The location was good and there was free wifi, hot water and heating all the time. The rooms were as clean as possible ( didn't really had high expectations ) and the breakfast was okay as well. The thing that really pissed me off though was the manager's' attitude towards some of my classmates... He was really rude sometimes and had a strange "humour". In contrast, the cleaners were really friendly...

Very nice centrally located hotel. Host was very helpful and friendly. Room was large and well equipped. Good A/C,hot water. Nice balcony. We enjoyed breakfast of eggs ham , vegetables, toast, and OJ. Good coffee.
The hotel it was amazing! Everything it was clear and the the room was really comfortable. Also the view it was incredibly beautiful. Before i forgot the breakfast has lots of choices and it was delicious. The owner it was extremely kind and helpful.
The hotel is basic. The rockstar suite was nice and spacious. Bed was confortable. It could have been cleaner but was overall ok. Would recommend for a short stay. Breakfast was basic (eggs, cold cuts and some cheese with toast)- the coffee was not good but this is a personal opinion. The staff was nevertheless very kind and helpful (the man at the reception) and explained everything very well. A good...
A great hotel with a convenient location, beautiful views and very friendly staff
My first time was when it was renovated back in 2013 and overall it was very good! I went back for a second visit in August 2020 and luckily we were given the same room as in 2013 (The MG suite). It seems like they don't look after the rooms a lot. 2 of the 4 bulbs of the light feature where blown out. The wallpaper behind the bed was hanging off the wall and part of the ceiling was stained due to...

Unique and special, Irenes House is one of the best houses, it has everything for your stay, impeccable service from Ms. Stalo, I recommend it 10/10 House with 2 children
We loved this little traditional house. So traditional and cozy. The fireplace is the focal point of the whole place for me. The jacuzzi is also a hit. I would recommend letting the boiler heat the water for at least an hour before attempting to fill up the bath. The house is located in old Kakopetria close to Galini cafe which is also lovely. The view from the bedroom's balcony is nice.
We had a lovely stay here. The house is traditional and amazing. It has a jacuzzi and a fireplace. It is small and cozy.
Beautiful and neatly equipped with everything one needs. A very romantic and most importantly pet friendly. We had a very good time.

Lovely place in the center of the village, spotlessly clean. The food is very well cooked and the owners are so polite and friendly! Loved it! ❤️❤️❤️
Very old hotel very poor renovation we should pay half the price. The breakfast few things no fruits just the picture below. Full of school pupils noisy. The only thing i liked was the waterfall sound of the river below and the great view of it in the morning.
rooms for clean but no windows and the food nice and the air condition was not working it was cold so if you can fix it put a window please and not a window that look in the basement and 2 plastic things on the top
Basic old hotel, generally clean all over bedrooms, reception, seating area and restaurant. friendly staff Excellent service, had breakfast which was basic but very nice. Had a small play area for the kids. Overall value for money.
This is a lovely clean hotel. Very peacefull atmosphere. Rooms are big, clean and in very good condition. Breakfast is a traditional CY one. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Really really a lovely hotel to be.

We spent 3 glorious days here. It's a friendly old village. Full of character and charm. The food here was amazing. We were taken care of, by a lovely Nepalese family.
Great location in the old part of Kakopetria. Had a lovely meal with excellent service and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Friday, October 24th, 2025. We were at the restaurant for dinner and had very good food and good service. Had a wonderful conversation in English with the owner and his young son. We are from Sweden and are travelling around Cyprus, Julia and Eskil Pihl
Good food, good location. Would prefer if the all the staff spoke greek.
What a special venue! It is located in the middle of the Old Kakopetria. It is a old building complex that has been restored and has so much character. The breakfast was rich and good. Value/Price rate is sooooo high!

Great room, amazing breakfast and the village is beautiful but the path in the river next to the hotel had rubbish all over(so sad).
Everything here is magical and outstanding. Perfectly appointed and maintained hotel, spotlessly clean, ample breakfast, spacious rooms and bathrooms and the most idyllic location imaginable. A glorious balcony to dine on, day and night. One cannot recommend The Mill enough.
Stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant too. The hotel for its prices, I was expecting more “luxury” in the rooms and at the welcome. The rooms have a lot of character and tradition but bathroom could have been renovated to support the prices. (€170 for one night and the jacuzzi bath tab has extreme damage). The room overall was clean and tidy. Staff has trapped us to trying the hotels restaurant...
We did not visit the hotel but instead had a meal at the restaurant. What can I say? I have heard a lot about this place and wanted to experience it for myself. The view is exquisite. Most of Kakopetria village is visible from there. The food is in a league of its own. The owners and service are delightful. I can not recommend this place enough. If you love food with a view, you will not be disappointed
Spectacular views, very average food and service. We stopped here for lunch and ordered a variety of hot apetizers. We were delivered dishes we did not order and were generally not very impressed with the overall quality and presentation of our food.

Very nice atmosphere and nice location
Very nice room, spacious and quite modern with a great bathroom. The breakfast, although not a buffet it was simple but very good. You get a drink of your choice, toasted bread, ham cheese cucumber tomato, jam and butter, fried hallumi fried egg and fried traditional sausage. It was delicious.
Pretty good location 2 minutes away from Kakopetria. Clean and tidy rooms with a decent breakfast. Would definitely visit again
Excellent view of the village of Kakopetria and the mountains. Breakfasts are a solid five: sliced ham, cheese, butter, bread, vegetables, scrambled eggs, sausages, fried fetta cheese. There is a restaurant at the hotel, where they also cook very tasty. The village of Kakopetria can be reached on foot along the road for about 5-10 minutes. Very welcoming staff. Beautiful hotel in the mountains! Stayed for three nights as a change to a coastal holiday to explore and hike in the Troodos mountains. Lovely furnishings and finishes in the rooms. We are a family of 3 of us who had an amazing dinner in the restaurant. Very beautiful place with very tasty food and nice wine. Life music was a lively background)) We are locals . .. special trout was yamy with special lemon butter souse. We have enjoyed )))
Lovely rooms, fantastic location but they advertise a bar, sorry but you cannot use it unless you book in advance. We stayed for 2 nights and were not allowed a drink either night due to not booking, there was no requirement when we booked to do this. An atmospheric hotel set in a beautiful location and filled with history. Our room was wonderfully spacious, private & comfortable with a lovely balcony. The restaurant was also excellent.
The Mill Hotel & restaurant is situated in the heart of Kakopetria. We were greeted by a charming man called Aris who showed us to our table where we had a panoramic view of the whole village. He recommended various Cypriot dishes which were absolutely sensational. Cypriot salad with Halloumi and home made marmalade. Filleted trout is their specialty and it was cooked to perfection. The...

Great place for a short vacation. Very close to a group of popular destinations in the area which includes the Troodos Observatory and the famous village of Agros.
wonderful surroundings - welcoming staff and many little villages around 10m away to visit! a great short stay - very green and quiet surroundings. Home made breakfast was great! anything we asked for was provided. Could do with water to drink in the bedroom
Lovely place if you want complete peace and quiet. Don't expect bells and whistles basic and comfortable. The owner was a lovely man couldn't do enough. The next village down the road is about 6 minutes away by car. Plenty to eat and if you're English nice pub. We live over here so nice change.
Stayed in this older style hotel for two nights while in the mountains. Really nice breakfast in the grape vine covered court yard. Nice little pool overlooking the village. The staff were very helpful, informative and polite. The manager cut a bunch of grapes for us when we mentioned them at breakfast.
This is a small, traditional Cypriot village-style agro-hotel, offering an authentic experience of rural Cyprus. The hotel features traditional Cypriot tools and artefacts from the past, adding to its unique charm. Great view from the room, easy access to hikes. The restaurant is fine (though a touch expensive, but you don't have many options around). Unfortunately, couldn't try the breakfast, as I came there to paritcipate in Troodos Terra and finished the race at around 10:00, when the breakfast was already finished.
The hotel is well situated for the Troodos area. It provides good accommodation at a reasonable price. It makes no pretence at being a five star establishment, but it does the biz. It is clean, the room is not cramped, the beds are ok, the furniture is not fussy but functional. Dinner in the restaurant was well prepared, tasty and definitely a good serving size. I have paid more and enjoyed it less...
I'll start with the positive and move to the less positive First the hotel staff is very good and courteous. The service was good I asked to change a room and they made an effort to change our room. The food is also good. Now to the not so positive the rooms are dated and with old carpeting. There is a smell of mold in the corridors of the hotel. The hotel needs redoing and refurbishing.
The room was fine, very basic. We stayed for one night so it was OK. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There was a very noisy party in the evening that ended after midnight, it was very annoying. Breakfast was nice and diverse
Rooms basic but comfortable and clean .location was brilliant we went in late October take a jumper cardigan for night time as it does get cold but they do put on a log fire and makes it really cosy they even supplies us with blankets loved it Food is really tasty we booked a massage and Jacuzzi and it was 10 out of 10. Evans and Sarah
Good but not too much The rooms are old and not very comfortable. The location is excellent, near the most interesting trails. The food is average. The price is a bit too high for the quality of service, considering it's a hotel with few amenities. The breakfast is good and varied. Staff very good and kind.

I chose New Helvetia Hotel for its historic charm and mountain views, expecting to spend time in the room and enjoy the balcony. I recently stayed at New Helvetia Hotel and had a mixed experience. First of all, the hotel itself is truly beautiful. Absolutely charming hotel up in the mountains in a beautiful village. Having a steam room and hot tub amongst the trees of the forest took the whole experience to the next level. Andrea’s the manager there was so kind and helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable.
