Ski & Spa Hotel Bellevue in Harrachov

The room was badly tight with no place for any table to use a laptop, or even to do anything different than lying on the bed or hiding in the corner. No wardrobe for clothes, only 3 small drawers. Being unabled to sit in the room I went to the restaurant, but here huge surprise – it is allowed to smoke e-cigarettes inside the restaurant for hotel crew and guests. Being a non-smoker, or coming with children, one needs to leave the hotel to avoid lying on the bed only or being exposed to toxic and stinky fumes. On booking services the hotel declares that it is smoke-free property but when hotel crew asked why smoking e-cigarettes is allowed say, that this doesn’t hurt, as if it’d be up to them, whether toxic and smelly fumes exhaled by other people, in closed room, will hurt you or not. No point in going to the restaurant for a drink or food because one won’t be able to enjoy its taste, nor even breath freely with regular air. Jailed in tight room I looked in the minibar and found disposable glass bottle (5cl) with alcohol not sealed originally. The crew was explaining that maybe someone before me had tried it and left. But what the hell? They declare 4 stars. Don’t they check what is in minibar before guest arrive? Maybe someone has drunk it and poured something bad back? Or maybe it is regularly refilled? Either way I didn’t dare to try. The hotel is just to an old ski jump infrastructure which is out of order for almost 10 years and gets ruined. No attractions around the hotel, the area looks abandoned, no lights around, so in the evening there is full dark, so non-smokers are sentenced to stay in tight room or get into the car and leave somewhere else. There are several steel structures of ski lifts just close to the object and in front of windows, working there and back also in the summer. I didn’t like it, but I admit, didn’t check location deep enough before choosing this facility. If anyone likes such conditions then it’s fine, as long as he or she is informed properly before arriving and is choosing it consciously, without misleading statements in booking services. For me all of this was badly disappointing. I left disgusted with my wife after 2 days, although we were planning to stay for the whole week. Be aware of these disadvantages and check carefully before choosing.
