Great beach access. The lower cost rooms are basic. In general, it does not seem like customer service is a high priority anywhere in DR.

This hotel was ok. Staff was nice, but the hotel is lacking. The AC was really good, beds were decent, room was clean.They provided a small and flat soap, 1 for 4 of us. Parking there is a nightmare, barely 4 spots for the entire hotel.

The problem with this hotel is that other guests usually make parties and play loud music and you can not rest. Also you can hear people walking in the halls. It is one of the lowest rate in Las Terrenas. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, came here for my friends bachelorette. The staff were amazing from the servers to the security. Location was nice. Close to Sosua beach and Cabarete for nightlife. The hotel is very old. The photos on the website aren't accurate, and the rooms smell strongly of damp. Everything is very neglected and rusty... I didn't take many pictures, but they're enough to show you. The area where it's located isn't nice either, but overall, I think Boca Chica is pretty run down.

Its a good value. It is close to the beach, and the rooms are simple and clean. The pool area is not large but quite charming.

The rooms are beautiful and very clean spot on and the pool is amazing with pool bars absolutely awesome!. Even has fridge with pop and water included and enough hangers to hang our shirts on. No problem with the safe which is great.

Liked stay at El Pelicano but the pool wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. My room was good couldn’t get the safe to work but overall clean. I would try another place next time but overall experience not bad. Beach is walkable not far from the hotel.

Disappointed The staff was extra friendly. The property is extremely old and the price was not valued at the condition of the room. The walls showed water damaged and needed to be scraped and re-painted.

Stayed for 5 nights. Place is on a quiet street but near lots of restaurants and nightlife. The room was clean, had what I needed, and the balcony and pool, which was empty when I was there, were nice. I had to find my own bottled water because it wasn't supplied.

The room was clean and comfortable but dated. The air conditioner is in the bedroom but was able to cleap the entire apartment cool. The one television was in the living room. I was impressed by the cleanliness because this is the only place I visited in Sosua that did not have an ant problem. It is easy to find and everyone there was very friendly.

Very quiet & calm environment

Great place to Spend a few nights and explore Dominicus and nearby Bayahibe towns. Close to plenty of dining and shopping options and short 10 min walk to the beautiful beach! Good breakfast and coffee at a reasonable price. Small pool nice for refreshing dip. (Lounge chairs would be a nice addition).

Villa Luna it's a reflection of its owners. A peaceful and cozy place. It's perfect for couples and family. The location of Villa Luna is great, the neighborhood is very safe for the kids to hang out by themselves. Walking distance to very good restaurants and the beach. I totally recommend it.

My wife and I have been here a couple of times and love it. The family that host the guest are so professional and kind. This place feels like home away from home the moment you arrive. Additionally, the entire area is kept very clean. PS - the pool is great, and usually not being used.

Although the hotel is central and it offers a comfortable and clean room the area is very Noisy. The city depends on motorcycles for transportation and unfortunately the noise pollution is high. If you want to stay in a quiet and relax environments enjoying nature this is NOT the place to stay.

Casa Azul is a convenient place to stay for a short visit to Puerto Plata. Very secure. Comfortable bed. Good size fridge in the room. Daniele communicates well, is very accommodating, shares local information, and provides paid taxi service if she is available.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Azul! We had to book last minute due to a mishap, but this stay turned everything around. Noise levels were high due to the construction outside and all the cars driving by at all hours of the night. It wouldn’t be too bad but they have a speed bump right in front of the hotel so people naturally would floor it afterward causing a ton of noise. Overall, we had a great stay. We arrived at 2 PM and requested early check-in because the hotel is about 30 minutes from the city and I had a 3 PM doctor’s appointment, and we didn’t want to travel back and forth with our luggage. Early check-in required an extra fee, which was the only downside. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

We took a day pass to spend our last day in the country and it was very nice. We ate and spent the day in the pools. The atmosphere and location were great for photos. We went there with family and friends and the price was very right. We highly recommend visiting the place with a day pass and if you like it, then go with the hotel portion and stay the night.
