You will be eating a lot of bread & cheese & fruits, nothing healthy enough like a balanced meal. Food was all quite oily in general

Super professional driver, clean car, wifi and other amenities. Another aspect to imorove is the wifi which is often not that strong in the resort

We had an amazing time at Excellence resort - they have various activities, amenities & events on site that you can participate in

  Somethings that are commendable & really stood out:  Cocktails - Excellence has by far the best of the best cocktails & bars! Their drinks are creative & everyone can find something they enjoy

Can't say enough positive things about Excellence El Carmen! From the incredible grounds to the beautiful rooms (we're working outlr way through all room types); from the amazing food and drinks to the absolutely unbelievablely friendly staff (shout-out to follow), Excellence El Carmen DOES NOT disappoint! It has become our home away from home and our go-to resort when looking for an escape

Our least favourite was Chez Isabel - the French restaurant - extremely gimmicky & absolutely bad quality as far as vegetarian food

In the mornings look up at the palm trees and you’ll be sure to find a group of Hispaniolan woodpeckers having a morning discussion. Every single staff member from the lifeguards to the security

The cleaners to the gardeners were extremely polite and friendly. Would love to come back one day, but sadly we have an unofficial rule of always going somewhere different each time we travel

If this is your first time venturing to the Dominican Republic, hotel Catalonia is the perfect first stop. The island is absolutely stunning. Buffet food was consistently cold

Plenty of wildlife to enjoy in the nearby nature reserve and thankfully within the impeccably kept grounds too. I was amazed that I spotted 4 endemic species during my stay

We stayed in the duplex suite with a pool and it was so enjoyable and worth it. Drinks are provided quickly and with a smile. Everyone is so helpful and engaging

Upon arriving we was warmly welcomed by attentive staff and were shown our room. It was extremely spacious with twin sinks and bed large enough for 4 people

Food quality at the buffet is acceptable, but variety is limited, and items are not always refilled later. The resort has only three restaurants, with average overall quality

Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. This hotel is best suited for travelers looking for a modern, clean, and peaceful place to relax rather than a lively all inclusive experience

The beach is beautiful and clean, with shuttle access from the lobby that works well. The beach bar and restaurant are enjoyable

We were also told to go to the restaurant at 9:00 in the morning to make dinner reservations. Which we did, later we overheard people talking to their butler about making reservations which he did for them

Entertainment is very limited, making the resort extremely quiet. There is no convenience store on site, and communication before arrival was poor, as emails to the reservation department were not answered

The room was spacious and very clean, the food was excellent (healthy and delicious. keto/Paleo compliant if you want). And there was always a spot - no beach towel bingo trying to stake out a spot at the crack of dawn

The Unique club was completely worth it- the unique beach club restaurant as an option for breakfast and lunch was excellent- food selection was great! The Unique dinners select days of the week were some of the best meals we had

Best food we’ve had at an all inclusive. Staff was amazing - especially our butler Victor. We’ve been here 3x and very happy each time

The unique experience is very worth it for the beach restaurant, towels, beach chairs, and generally elevated service

Traveled with toodler they had sofa bed set up with toddler blanket. Beach clean, had good beach service for drinks

We stayed at Lopesan in the Unique category for my 40 birthday. When we arrived , we were greeted with champagne and there was a private check in. They let us check in a little early which was great

Clean room nice staff i only ate at the buffet but the food was very good i just wish breakfast options were different bar was good drinks were good and strong i love the key card waterproof bracelet they give you to access your room water park was awesome the only thing is check in is at exactly 3 so cant check in and freshen up have to walk around the resort until 3

Something important to know about the property is the Royalton Resorts are all bunched up together, and Hideaway is simply one specific building with its own pool and bar, and also access to a restaurant for Hideaway guests only

I had a great experience! The staff went above and beyond to make our vacation unforgettable and memorable. It’s the little things that make moments special, and Jennifer and Smerlin did it perfectly

Everything was great and our butler Manual was awesome and took care of everything from dinner reservations throughout our stay.

9- I realized that the bother of waiting for the train to take us where we going is not at all restful when On vacation 10-Good even though it was plentiful was not really tasty 11- we had to wait in line 5 - 10 minutes at the omelette station, by the time we ate food was cold 12- Buffet style is a lot of work when you vacation with a young family, sit down dinners was a bit better 13- in 8 days...

Well let me tell you : on day 1 we found out we couldn’t use the waterslide with my grandchildren! How ridiculous is that? Children if 3 and 18 months needed us to be with them on the waterslide!! 2- When we called guest service NO ONE ANSWERED EVER! 3- The beach was way too strong for young children to play in the ocean! The restaurant only open at 6 pm for dinner we had to stop at guest service...

The service amd staff is great! I would be nice to have a place where we could go do some laundry ourselves.

Great property, clean and well taken care of. Rooms are dated, bathrooms (in family rooms) are very small. Blankets on kids beds are hard.

5- Service at breakfast was so slow we had to fectch our waiters everyday 6- The smell ( cooked meat was so bad I couldn’t go on the patio ! 7- The room had a moldy smell

on the last day we checked out for free at 3 pm, at 6 pm we went to dinner (they didn't take our "all inclusive bracelet") and then came the bus that took us to the airport

Enjoyed our stay immensely! This is a quieter resort perfect for families and people looking to relax. If you’re expecting nightlife this is NOT the resort for you. They try but the shows are lame

The weather was FANTASTIC, the beach is beautiful, and the pools are very warm. The only complaint I’d have is that the only decent coffee was from an espresso machine in the lobby that didn’t open until 9:00am

This is an older resort but they are working at updating rooms

Well, if you go to a budget hotel you don't expect luxury but the 4* have to be justified. I'm not that type 'it ruined my vacation', you are the only one who can ruin it and we have had a good time overall

The main buffet was good (most food was tasty and not very repetitive) and the bars served a good selection of drinks. The hotel doesn't have a single normal espresso machine so espresso, latte, cappuccino etc

Unfortunately the 1st 3 days we were there I was told there were no reservations available our entire stay at either of the 2 available indoor restaurants. This was from the Dominicana customer sevice desk

We did have the chance to eat at the Siblia restaurant and had really great steaks. There we had a fantastic birthday celebration for my teen daughter

Join into every interactive activity you can. So much fun! We also enjoyed the nightly shows. Classes inside are also decent. The pool is good and the beach nice. Unfortunately, not enough chairs at either so go early

Once and IF you find a great server or bartender, tip them and treat them well and they will be great to you. There are definitely a few great ones. It worked best at pool area but rarely in the room or other places

Food was fine/ok at the buffet. My favorite was the local Dominican food served like their rice, beans, platanos etc. Best to grab freshly made foods at the chef stations like omeletes, meats, churros

Then a staff member recommended I go to the Punta Cana side and magically they had space for us at both. We received very little guidance or help from the staff at the Dominicana

It's a peaceful oasis that has a very 1-on-1 environment. The food quality is outstanding for an all-inclusive resort. No buffets or food sitting under hot lamps. Every single dish is prepared fresh for you

Room service was a nice feature which we used for breakfast. The food was amazing! The complementary horseback riding was also really enjoyable. We dealt with 2 different people named Juan Carlos who were both awesome

Such an amazing stay at Zoetry PC. There was so much attention to detail from the staff, amenities, and ambiance. I recommend this place for anyone who wants a boutique atmosphere. There is no music or party vibes

You can make special requests & substitutions that are welcomed by the staff. The bartenders will make you specialty cocktails or recreate your favorite drink. This is not a cookie-cutter resort

Top dinner cuisines in order. Caribbean, Mexican, Asian fusion, steakhouse, Italian. Didn't get to try Mediterranean

The location is perfect, there is an amazing beach with a lot of sun loungers available. The main restaurant is great, food variety and service are beyond any expectations

We were a group of nine, with five kids. Everybody could find food to their liking every meal. Great variety

The hotel is very good I highly Recommend it. We had so much fun and the entertainment team is honestly amazing we loved them. Best entertainment team and photography team I have seen.

The food was outstanding! The variety at the buffet is incredible, catering to every taste, and the à la carte restaurants were top-notch. We especially loved the fresh seafood and authentic Dominican dishes

Now what I'd recommend to improve: water pressure in the shower, food quality and service in ala carte restaurants, beach cleaning and maintenance

Visited this resort in September 2025, not bad overall, but a lot of things to improve especially in comparison with the others Iberostar selection resorts

Upon arrival, we were told that the rooftop pool is not included and actually belongs to another hotel, which felt very misleading. The listing states “all inclusive,” but this was not fully accurate

The beach towel they charge $10 if you borrow and bring to the beach area. The hotel activity coordinator was amazing hospitality Rosa, Yhon and Jose the bar tender. Thank you guys for taking care of us during our stay

One for our 2 sons (16 & 19), one for our daughters (14, 16 & 18), and one for us. Me and my husbands room smelled so bad of sewage, i could not sleep. We complained and they changed us to a much better room

The resort itself was nice, they close the pools at 8 pm though so that kind of ******. Plus they cut off drinks and snacks, etc

Also they had a shower room seperate from their toilet room. The toilet area smelled fine but their showet room had an awful smell. The food was good for some of us, not so good for others

Nightly entertainment was good! The beach was also good! The only complaint being how much they hussle you there. You basically need to go with a roll of bills to be comfortable

Cesar, our concierge made our trip easy and worry free. We were so happy to have the extra support during our trip knowing he was there to help. He was really great and did everything he could to make our stay memorable

We’re just at the end of a two week vacation and have had a great time. William and his team are absolutely brilliant. William runs the pool bar and gave us a warm welcome and always greeted us with a smile

We felt extremely comfortable and welcome during our stay. We booked TRS Turquesa, and even though we were staying there, we came to this hotel every single evening for 10 days to enjoy drinks at the bar and the music

William and Rosa and Larry and everyone at the pool bar will make you feel like family. William remembered our names, our drinks and really made us feel like we had a friend to see everyday

PROS: Beautiful BIG campus immaculately manicured. CONS: I didn't think you were supposed to tip at an all inclusive. but everyone was! I did not bring ANY cash

I had Mayeli personally attend me she was on top of everything such and amazing friendly person she made sure me and my guest had a great time very helpful with recommendations for food and activities around the area and helped so much i give her 5 stars and 10/10 loved her

Our butler, Edward was attentive and helpful and very friendly! Elin, was our server and bartender throughout our stay and she made the trip! So happy to help and great to be around! The entertainment staff, especially Kendall and Jesus, were so engaging and cheerful! Resort was clean and provided everything we needed for a great vacation! We will definitely be back!

Every restaurant was delicious and the service was wonderful. The pools were amazing and always very clean. The drinks were great everywhere we went and the bartenders were friendly and fun

This is our second time at Trs in 2 years and we absolutely loved it. The beach is amazing, the rooms are super nice, the food options are great but the service is the best part. All the staff is very nice and welcoming

Having your own butler is a big plus as they help you book excursions/activities and get you anything you need to make your stay better. Big shoutout to Rodney and Cesareo these guys were amazing

As a recommendation to the resort, I recommend more lunch options and even some quick grab and go food locations. Helios needs to change up their morning buffet options. 95% of the items were there every day

It was my birthday after 3 weeks of our visit and they still decorated our room door with happy birthday banner and surprised us with a cake, which was really nice of them

Younger omelette cook with notched eyebrows is the hardest worker I have ever seen and was always so polite to me. On the boom scale I give it 5 big booms💪

Got a free upgrade because we were the only ones there for the back half of our trip. Not a ton of food options but everything was good. Staff was very nice and accommodating

It’s a great surfing beach where you can take beginners lessons or go to the more advanced side with sizable waves. Highly recommend staying here for a more peaceful all inclusive than the mega resorts

Serenity If the loud, party atmosphere is not your jam, then Selectum Hacienda is for you. The staff is all very professional, kind and accommodating. The breakfast is a true feast

They have bottled water and bagged ice available whenever you need it. Great for a quick romantic getaway

Everything stood out! As soon as you walk onto the resort you feel the vacation. Service is A+, room was very cozying and amazing. The views are so gorgeous I didn’t want to leave. The guests are all considerate and nice

The animation is very good, prizes are given for participating in competitions. Friendly, funny and kind animators, I especially liked Keila. Night show is worthy and interesting

Absolutely Incredible All-Inclusive Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was hands down one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations

A small heads-up: the hotel is a bit far from the airport and the city center. We had a rental car, so it wasn't an issue for us, but I didn’t see a shuttle service offered, which could be inconvenient for some guests

Although shows were great it would’ve been nice to have all kind of music so everybody could dance especially on Valentine’s Day. Overall definitely a place to visit

I would not consider this an English-friendly resort. Most workers do not know any English, this includes service staff and even security officers. This made ordering, checking in, and generally asking for help difficult

Being able to also use the Iberostar Waves Dominicana (Iberostar's other resort) made this vacation even better. It was nice being able to use their facility as well (pools, bars, restaurants, nightly entertainment, etc

This place exceeded our expectations. Iberostar resorts in the past 7 years and all were fantastic. Excellent value for your money. Great selection of food and drinks. Room cleaning service was very good

We felt very safe walking around this resort at any time day or night. So glad we picked this resort. We can't think of a bad thing to say about it, and it definitely deserves a 5-star rating from us!

This was our 4th time to Iberostar Selection and we will definitely be returning again. The staff are very friendly and make us feel like we are home, recognizing us from our previous stays
