Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino - All Inclusive in Punta Cana

🌍
Dominican, Punta Cana, Avda. Francia s/n
● Center: 13 km
🌞 Beach - 6 min

Staff praised repeatedly for friendliness and personal attention, especially bartenders like William and Don Julio and concierge Cesar, who enhanced guest experiences. Facilities such as the garden and pool are well maintained and clean, with the garden described as a strong point of the hotel. WiFi, service, location, and cleanliness all received perfect 10/10 ratings from guests. The variety of recreational activities including casino, mini golf, and water park were noted positively. Many guests appreciated the buffet breakfast and found the food generally good despite some criticisms. Several guests reported issues with room maintenance, including poor air conditioning, bathroom leaks, and outdated furnishings. The beach was described as narrow with rough waters and limited opportunities for snorkeling or observing fish. Guests experienced noisy nightly parties in the lobby area, which hampered relaxation and check-in comfort during evening hours. The hotel’s late check-out policy caused frustrations due to inconsistent enforcement and poor communication by staff. Some reviewers noted aggressive sales tactics pushing expensive membership plans shortly after arrival. Limited English proficiency among some staff in bars and restaurants made communication difficult for non-Spanish speakers. Food quality was inconsistent, with some guests finding the menu repetitive and lacking authentic Dominican dishes.

We felt extremely comfortable and welcome during our stay. We booked TRS Turquesa, and even though we were staying there, we came to this hotel every single evening for 10 days to enjoy drinks at the bar and the music.
We had an amazing time with the staff and built a great connection with the bar team. They fulfilled every wish we had and shared wonderful moments with us — listening to music together, celebrating, laughing, and simply enjoying the great atmosphere. All of them are incredibly friendly, cooperative, and communicative.
A very special thank you to Luiyi, Jeison, Carmito, Rodolfo, Maria, Alexander, and Alcides, the supervisor at the Guayacan Bar. Their warm and hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable.

We will definitely come back because of these wonderful people. They made us feel like family.

We’re just at the end of a two week vacation and have had a great time. William and his team are absolutely brilliant. William runs the pool bar and gave us a warm welcome and always greeted us with a smile. We hope to return again soon. Many thanks William and team.

We stayed at this hotel with my wife for 12 days, and after the way we were treated at the end of our stay, we are absolutely sure that we will never return.

Beach – 5/10
Unfortunately, the beach photos presented in the hotel offer are very misleading. In reality, the beach is very narrow, and the ocean in this area is extremely rough. There is no possibility to observe fish here, unlike in other parts of the island.

Garden – 10/10
The garden is beautiful, very well maintained, and definitely one of the strongest points of the hotel.

Pool – 9/10
The pool is fairly clean and well maintained, so overall it is fine but very NOISY!

Lobby – 4/10
The lobby itself is quite pleasant. You can have a coffee, a drink, or a dessert.
However, a huge downside is that very loud parties take place there every evening. This completely eliminates any chance of relaxation. Even check-in during evening hours is difficult — after a long flight, when you are tired, you literally have to shout over the music together with the receptionist just to communicate.

Overall Service – 9/10
Hotel staff are generally very kind and friendly, but clearly overworked. The same restaurant staff work from early morning until late evening, which inevitably leads to mistakes — for example, assigning the same table to multiple guests or “forgetting” that you asked for water 20 minutes earlier.
This is understandable given the workload, but it is still something the hotel management should address.

Reception / Front Desk Service
Check-in went relatively smoothly, probably only because we arrived late and there was no heavy traffic at the reception.
The hotel advertises late check-out, which turned out to be completely false. On the day of arrival, we were informed that late check-out was of course possible, which was perfect for us since our flight was late in the evening.
A few days before departure, we were told to come on the day of departure to pay for a few extra hours. The day before departure, we were clearly assured that if we came in the morning, there would be no problem arranging a late check-out.
On the day of departure, as agreed, we went to the reception in the morning and were told that late check-out was absolutely impossible because our room had already been reserved for someone else.
We also spoke with the manager, who instead of trying to solve the issue, informed us that they were expecting 120 new guests that day. Frankly, I do not care how many guests they expect if they cannot organize themselves properly and advertise services they are unable to deliver.

Members Club
Guests are aggressively pushed on the very first day to become “members” for several or even tens of thousands of dollars under very unfavorable conditions. This is absurd, especially considering you are still exhausted from travel and jet lag and have virtually no experience with the hotel yet.
They keep you for 2–3 hours presenting their “amazing offer,” which, once calculated, is not cheaper than travel agency offers. Their so-called “additional benefits and service” included in membership are highly questionable, especially given that they cannot even properly organize a simple late check-out.

Final Thoughts
The stay initially looked promising, and while I can accept an average beach or an outdated room, I will never accept a lack of respect and poor organization at the reception.
The arrogant attitude of a very young manager, boasting about how many new guests they have instead of finding a solution or acknowledging their mistake, and making us feel like idiots, completely disqualifies this hotel in our eyes.
We will definitely never return.

This place is phenomenal. William and Rosa and Larry and everyone at the pool bar will make you feel like family. William remembered our names, our drinks and really made us feel like we had a friend to see everyday. William is one of the reasons my wife and I will absolutely be back to this hotel. Cheers to William he is simply the best.

PROS: Beautiful BIG campus immaculately manicured. Easy drive from the airport. CONS: I didn't think you were supposed to tip at an all inclusive...but everyone was! I did not bring ANY cash. There were multiple "concierges" trying to get you book things...I'm not sure what their purpose was. They were relentless...posted up all over the campus asking if you wanted to book a spa package. They must have been looking for a tip? or maybe worked on commision? Not sure. The Gym was tiny...for the size of the facility, the gym should have been 3x the size. I waited for every machine.

We had an amazing stay overall and would absolutely come back again. The hotel facilities are beautiful and very well maintained, and there is so much to see and do around the property.

A special shoutout to Don Julio at the Guayacan lobby bar. He is truly the best bartender. If you stay here, make sure to stop by for a drink with him. He made our evenings extra special.

Our villa, number 65, was comfortable, though there was a very strong smell in the room during our stay. That is something the hotel could definitely improve.

Regarding the “all inclusive” concept, it is not exactly as expected. Out of the roughly 50 restaurants on the property, you only have access to a few without paying extra. The sauna and spa services are also charged separately, so keep that in mind when planning your budget.

One tip: bring your own insulated cups to use at the pool bars to avoid the plastic cups.

Despite these points, our experience was incredible and we would return again without hesitation.

Cesar, our concierge made our trip easy and worry free. We were so happy to have the extra support during our trip knowing he was there to help. He was really great and did everything he could to make our stay memorable.
