My sister was hospitalized a day before our reservation and could not make it to the trip. We explained the situation and provided proof to the hotel for the medical care she was receiving and requested a refund. Despite multiple attempts in negotiating and asking for an explanation, they denied any sort of consideration nor any reasoning and took the full payment anyways. The amount due was about $500 per person. I will never be using any facility by the Melia group.
The resort is brand new, modern, and well maintained. Check in was fast and smooth, and the staff is generally friendly, although service can be slow at times and English is not widely spoken.
The rooms are the strongest point of this hotel. They are spacious, modern, and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The balcony with a jacuzzi overlooking the pool is a great feature. However, humidity inside the room is noticeable, towels and linens look worn, and only one large bath towel is provided. The shower head is also installed quite low.
There are several large and clean swimming pools. The beach is beautiful and clean, with shuttle access from the lobby that works well. The beach bar and restaurant are enjoyable.
Food quality at the buffet is acceptable, but variety is limited, and items are not always refilled later. The resort has only three restaurants, with average overall quality. Entertainment is very limited, making the resort extremely quiet. There is no convenience store on site, and communication before arrival was poor, as emails to the reservation department were not answered.
Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. This hotel is best suited for travelers looking for a modern, clean, and peaceful place to relax rather than a lively all inclusive experience.

Service was extremely inconsistent, we didn’t get a butler, other people did. During check in, we noticed other people that were checking in were given a tour of the property, we were taken to a staircase and told your room is up there. We were also told to go to the restaurant at 9:00 in the morning to make dinner reservations. Which we did, later we overheard people talking to their butler about making reservations which he did for them. Later in the week we discovered a screen in the buffet that you could make reservations, so we used that. Service at the buffet and bar were touch and go, the bar took a long time and it wasn’t that busy and if you wanted a drink when you went to the buffet, even water, sometimes they’d come over, other times they didn’t or they’d take your drink order and never come back, very inconsistent, same with the pool service.This resort is very quiet, which we liked. There was no bar to sit at which I found strange. The grounds are lovely,we walked to the beach every day instead of taking the shuttle. It’s very safe. The people working at the resort were very friendly. I just think they need to work out a few things.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The bed was especially comfortable, and the room was quiet, which made for a great night’s sleep.
