El Gezira Hotel in Luxor

A beautiful garden with warm and welcoming staff, great hosts, the breakfast buffet has a big variety of local food as well as international. Very clean rooms, the staff is very helpful with almost everything you might need. The beautiful garden is also a place for many birds, in the morning it is an impressive experience. I had a great experience there and I will gladly go back next year, hopefully for the solar eclipse

This is my favourite place in Luxor. We spent 10 days in Luxor and loved this hotel. The facilities are brilliant and the staff are wonderful. It’s just so relaxing and such a nice little hotel, the feeling is just perfect, it’s a getaway from the busy street across the Nile. The West Bank is wonderful in general but I loved it here 👍

So good please and nice stuff they professional and kind people. We enjoyed our time there in West Bank of Luxor. The pool was amazing and garden, the food was delicious too take breakfast there then stat round in West Bank early morning was great.

It's a nice place to stay, you have a view on the Luxor Temple on the other side of the river, the staff is really friendly and helpful, the rooms are okay for Egypt. We stayed one night her.

The Mesala is a gem of a hotel, a precious, family run hotel on the West Bank of Luxor overlooking the Nile River and Luxor Temples. It's a spectacular view. The rooms at the front have balconies and are comfortable and clean. The sun rises to your left and sets to your right so you are basking in glorious sunshine all day long but can close the balcony doors if you prefer it cooler. The Roof Terrace restaurant is fantastic and breakfast is served there every morning and meals can be provided all day long until around 9pm. The kitchen staff are very amenable and try to cater to your needs if not on the menu. The food here is very good. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful and it's a pleasure to be here. Free WiFi is available and there's a small swimming pool. The location is ideal as it's on the river bank with a beautiful promenade and the small boats to cross the river are literally outside the hotel. Taxis are available in abundance outside, as are tuk tuks. Local shops are yards away, everything you could possible need and lots of restaurants nearby. This hotel is a small, family run business that really takes care of its guests and you will want to return time and again. It's not far to the Valley of the Kings and Queens and Hatshepsut's tombs and Howard Carter's Museum, the beautiful Qorna countryside and a short river crossing to the Luxor and Karnac temples on the East bank where you will find the old market souk and lots of modern shops and hotels. To say it is marvellous is an understatement. It's not the Ritz but it is perfect for the mind and soul to absorb the beauty of Luxor. Come and enjoy this precious jewel of a small hotel.

A great experience. Ahmed the son of the owner was absolutely superb. Couldn't do enough for us. We had booked for 8 nights and had a lovely stay. Would totally recommend this hotel for location and views and the breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff. Even though it was end of January/beginning of February my husband braved the pool. And we had time round the pool sunbathing. You can get a small motor boat to the east bank for 50 LE per person. As we have been coming to Luxor for many years we didn't do any trips as we have done them in the past, but you can book them through the hotel as well as airport transfers. Well done Ahmed and staff for making our stay pleasurable. And will call in to see you soon when we are back in luxor in march. Thank you Lynn and David

Excellent food, hosts were amazing and accommodating. No hassle at all. It's right next to the ferry but also very quiet. Best experience I've had so far in Egypt. The hot air balloon is a must
