Everything was great, staff really nice, the towers are not too far from trams and buses and just 25-30 mins walk from the main centre

Easily one of the best stays I've had at a hotel. Even before arrival, I was contacted by staff who wanted to check ETA. Once I got there, staff were welcoming and lovely. The hotel room was nice and spacious

The breakfast area also had a children's play area. As this is not as common these days. Staff were also quickly replenishing any food. It's clear the staff have very carefully thought about their services

Had a TV and even a bidet in the bathroom. Because you couldn't even enter each floor without the key provided. Each floor has a communal area and kitchen. And there's even a sauna on the top floor

It was filled with the Aalto furniture I'd always dreamed of, and even had Marimekko-patterned cushions. It was so beautiful, I could almost imagine living in a room like that

What's with the "lower class" rhetoric? The hotel boasts about its sustainability standards, if their response was something like "because of our sustainability policy, we do not offer the single-use slippers to reduce waste", although there is such a thing as eco-friendly hotel slippers, I would still accept it much better

Labels for lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan were there, but left to the side, the staff couldn't be bothered to place labels clearly next to each food item they referred to, leaving guests to do the guess work

I couldn't see anyone for a long time, until finally a kitchen staff came over to refill food items. He indicated to me the items that were vegan and also pointed out that one of the porridges had cow milk in it

The hotel brags about its excellent breakfast and that it "has earned the maximum number of stars in the Portaat luomuun program", which is priced in every room rate, so there's no way to opt out of

When I asked the reception about this, I was told that because we booked a 'standard' room, slippers were not included, only the more expensive 'premium' rooms come with the slippers

I got a small twin room which had a decent sized bed (bigger than an American twin) and had everything I needed. A small mini bar fridge (with enough room for me to stash a full pizza in) and private shower bath

Clean hotel, requested a bath tub and was provided. Sauna turned out to be time and gender restricted for 2 hrs each, so plan accordingly. Good and close to shops and restaurants and railway station

It’s on a super cool pedestrian friendly street where there are TONS of restaurants and shops. The train from the airport lets you off about a ten minute walk away

The hotel's location is very convenient. The room didn't have a microwave or a kettle, but it did have a mini-fridge for drinks. The trash can was a bit small. I'd consider this hotel again for a short trip.

Second time at holiday Inn Helsinki-West Ruoholahti, this time get to know the gym, not to big but with plenty of different machines so you can do a complete workout. Breakfast as always excellent.

Almost perfect hotel in the city center. The only problems I had were weirdly placed TV, in the corner of the bedroom so you had to watch it from the bed looking to one side
