Hotel was great in many ways but the photos are very deceptive. We booked the deluxe king room and room was different to photos shown. The bathroom and actual room itself. The neighborhood feels very safe and calm. There are lots of small coffee shops around, giving it a lively, local vibe, and plenty of convenient dining options. Plus, it's very close to the subway station.

The hotel is a bit old, but it has a very Parisian feel to it. I've stayed here twice now. The staff downstairs collect the keys every day, so it feels quite safe. It's right next to the metro exit.
