It took me less than 10 minutes from airport to the hotel
While the ibis Paris Coeur d'Orly Airport is conveniently located near the airport, it is absolutely unfit to accommodate travelers. I have stayed here multiple times for business trips, and each time I’ve encountered the same unacceptable issue: a persistent sewage-like odor in the rooms.
The first time, I had to request a room change due to the unbearable smell. On my most recent stay, on July 23, 2025, I tried to avoid the hassle by keeping the bathroom door shut, hoping the odor would stay contained. Unfortunately, I was woken up in the middle of the night by the stench and couldn’t sleep anymore. At 3 a.m., I finally asked to be moved to another room. The staff accommodated my request, but the smell was also present in the hallway on the second floor, suggesting a broader issue with the hotel’s plumbing or hygiene standards.
What makes this even more unacceptable is the price of the stay—around €150 per night. At that rate, guests should expect a clean, comfortable, and odor-free room. In fact, even if the room cost €1, it would still be unacceptable to subject guests to such conditions.
This hotel may be convenient, but it fails to meet even the most basic expectations of cleanliness and comfort. I strongly advise travelers to consider other options.
