The hotel has rather small rooms but is well-located in the city center. The staff is young, very courteous, and helpful. The breakfast is essential and varied. Recommended!

Great location, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. I accidentally left my charger behind, and they went out of their way to find me a new one. I'd definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Paris.

We loved our stay at Maxim Quartier Latin. Location was excellent next to the metro and buses and walking distance to Notre Dame and le Pantheon -30 minutes walk-. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The room was clean and our bed was made every day and we also had fresh towels. A bit of a small room but that’s standard for Paris.

3/5 – Great Location Near Rue Mouffetard

Hôtel Maxim Quartier Latin has an excellent location — right by Rue Mouffetard, one of the liveliest streets in Paris filled with cafés, restaurants, and local shops. It’s a wonderful area to explore and truly gives that authentic Parisian neighborhood feel.

Although the rooms are somewhat on the smaller side, they were clean and more than adequate for our stay. We also appreciated that the hotel allowed us to leave our luggage while we traveled to Lourdes for a couple of nights and were accommodating when we booked an additional three nights upon our return.

While one staff member could have been friendlier, most interactions were fine overall. With a bit more warmth and attention to guests, this hotel could easily be a great place to stay.

Poor value for money. The elevator took forever to close, and the room was so tiny that as soon as you stepped in, you were practically on the bed. If two people stayed, the other would have to just stay on the bed. There wasn't even enough space to open one suitcase comfortably. The soundproofing was terrible; checking in at around 2 PM, the room next door was being cleaned and it sounded like a renovation project. Even after I locked the deadbolt, someone still tried to open the door with a key, claiming they needed to inspect the rooms for cleaning every day. The dark-skinned lady at the front desk seemed to be in a bad mood, very cold-faced. When I left, they said they needed to inspect the room before refunding the deposit, but another white couple just handed over their keys and left without any issues.

From the moment we walked in, our stay has been fantastic. The room is VERY quaint, but the bed and showered comfortable, but small. The staff is phenomenal and very informative. Alexia has been our saving grace, as this is our first time in Paris. The location is easily accessible in the 5th Arr. As a travel agent, I would definitely recommend.

The hotel itself is on an excellent location. Rooms are nice and clean but really small. Also no toothbrushes, toothoaste nor slippers are provided.

Excellent Location and Service – Highly Recommended
We enjoyed a very pleasant one-week stay at this hotel while visiting Paris. The location is ideal: a quiet street with excellent transport links. Metro and bus stops are just 1–2 minutes away, providing easy access to trains for both airports and all the land marks. For convenience and value, If you stay in Paris for three or more days, we recommend purchasing a weekly NAVIGO pass and a 2-day museum pass—they made our trip seamless and cost-effective. The area behind the hotel offers a wide variety of restaurants and cafés, perfect for dining out.
The staff were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, we were offered hot tea while waiting to check in and provided with city maps and helpful sightseeing tips. A standout feature is the 24/7 front desk key-drop service, which allows guests to explore the city without worrying about carrying room keys.
Breakfast is served in a cozy café-style setting, with a good selection of food and beverages to start the day.
While some guests note that the rooms are compact, we found this to be a reasonable trade-off for the prime location, excellent service, and fair pricing. Our room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all essential amenities.
In summary, this hotel offers great value and convenience. We highly recommend it for travelers seeking comfort and accessibility in Paris.

The hotel is located in the very safe 5th arrondissement, not far from the Pantheon and Luxembourg Gardens. I really liked the street downstairs, with a very local residential area just across the way. The room was a bit small, but the price was fair for the location. It's close to supermarkets, metro stations, and bus stops. If you're not in a hurry, you can easily walk to the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, and Notre Dame area. The staff were very friendly, answering all my questions and even helping me store a bunch of yogurts I bought in the fridge, even though my English speaking skills aren't great. Since Paris was my first stop, their service made me feel very secure, and I didn't encounter any problems in Paris; all my plans were accomplished. Plus, since my flight arrived very early, the hotel allowed me to check in in the morning, which I really appreciated. Finally, the bathroom was fully stocked with L'Occitane products, which smelled just like home – I loved it! 🥰
