We stayed here on a short break. It is very good for the local market on Sunday which sees this place come alive. You can get from the airport very quickly and there is great public transport connections to La Rochelle and the connected island Iile de Rae.

Recommendations from the friendly family run Hotel found us in the best places i.e. St Martin on Iile de Rae and the Sunday Market, which we would have missed.

The rooms are basic but comfortable, location quiet and the large breakfast will keep most people happy until early afternoon. The evening meals are very good (just see the French reviews on TA) for the local verdict (both extra).

The area is a little run down but there is a very good supermarket within walking distance that can supply all your needs.

For the hotel, value for money is ok. For its top quality restaurant, we eat very well, fresh and tasteful products. I recommend their rays to the captured.

This hotel is posted 2 stars on the internet. THIS HOTEL HAS NO STAR according to its manager. Check yourself ..! That was the big disappointment ... I paid 47 but I refused to sleep there, .. to flee. I subscribe to most of the negative comments posted before me (old furniture, bidet in the bedroom in front of the bed, bedroom door that closes badly etc.) ..
