Alexander Park Chambéry Hotel in Chambery

The toilet light didn't work we complained at the the reception inmediatly. They said they were going to fix it the next day, instead of fixing the light, they disconfigured the card key . Instead of letting us know or apologize they acted as nothing has happened. The sink of the tub didn't swallow .There is not a single feauture of the hotel that allows me to think as that It is a 4 star hotel. We had been in another 4 star hotel in the area that was very good for the same price range.

Horrible service by staff. At breakfast the lady cleaning the tables was slamming the dishes and Cutlery right next to us when there was so much space on the other side, went to have dinner at their restaurant at 9pm and the guy just took the menu from me and closed the entrance without saying it is closed. Didn't basically want to even engage with us.

In no way is this a 4 star hotel! It's on an industrial estate right next to a busy motorway so it's incredibly noisy. The air con in bedroom did nothing at all even on 'full' - couldn't feel a hint of cold air. Lots of mosquitos in the room and outside so combined with the road noise and hot humid room, we got very little sleep. Didn't help that there were bus loads of kids on a trip playing 'chap door, run' at 10.30pm! Couldn't eat in restaurant in the evening as it was too busy with all the kids. The little pots of UHT milk in our room looked sealed, but were not and were empty!! Thought we'd go to breakfast as soon as it opened, but the kids got there first. A very unpleasant stay and whilst there may not be hoards of kids all the time, the poor location and standard of room means we cannot recommend the hotel. We found an excellent local restaurant nearby though.

Hotel is full of screaming out of control children running all over. Not possible to eat in as restaurant is full. Wouldn't stay here again
