Hotel Le Faucigny in Chamonix

Clean rooms and delicious breakfast.
Conveniently located near the city center.
Some rooms have many stairs, so be careful if you have a lot of luggage.

Location is good. Hotel staffs are nice especially yang lady helping us changing room. Also man at restaurant was so kind.

Room and mood are nice and modern. Room top room we are not familiar and please be careful when making booking. Bathrooms is difficult and not functioning.

Overall, everything was good; the hotel was comfortable, the town is great, and very photogenic.

It was a much narrower space than I thought.
The window was right above the bed, so when I opened the window, a dried, twisted spider fell out and I was surprised.
The bathroom was also spacious, and it was a perfect hotel for a one or two-day stay.

My experience at Hotel Le Faucigny in Chamonix was an absolute disaster, and I feel compelled to warn others about their shockingly poor service. It’s baffling that a business operating in the hospitality sector could treat its customers—who quite literally keep them in business—with such unprofessionalism and utter disregard.

First of all, their response time to emails is outrageously slow. I reached out multiple times to clarify a simple question about whether it would be possible to cancel my reservation without penalties. Instead of a straightforward answer, they took it upon themselves to cancel my booking entirely—without my permission! This kind of behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s downright disrespectful.

But the nightmare didn’t end there. After traveling for hours and arriving at the hotel at 11 PM, exhausted and ready to rest, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled. I was left with no room, no support, and no options late at night in a foreign country. The level of stress and frustration I experienced was unimaginable.

How can a hotel, a place meant to provide comfort and shelter, treat its guests like this? It’s unbelievable that they operate in the service industry but seem to have no understanding of how to professionally handle the people who keep their business alive. Their incompetence and lack of basic respect for their customers are appalling.

If they can’t manage to provide even the most basic level of customer service, they have no business being in the hospitality industry. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs unless you want to risk being stranded and treated with utter indifference. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, and it’s clear they don’t care about their customers at all.

The room is small but the location is very convenient

The staff is a big highlight of our 3 night stay. So helpful, happy and eager to assist making our time in Chamonix excellent. They recommended all the right restaurants and tips on all things local. Thank you to the team. Looking forward to visiting again and will make.this our home in Chamonix. 5 stars for a 3 Star hotel. Michael

The room was quite worn out. It needs some painting, cleaning of the pillows on the sofa and around the roof window on the first floor. Toilet on the ground floor cannot flush 100%.
All staff were very helpful and kind. The apartment had a nice view to the mountains and is perfectly placed in the middle of the village. Check out at 10:00am is a little too early.

Couldn't ask for more. Very nice hotel, great view from the room and extremely friendly staff. If I had to nitpick on anything it would be that the breakfast is a bit overpriced for what you get. But it's very convenient and the overall experience great. I've definitely found my to-go-to hotel whenever I will be heading to Chamonix for hiking, skiing or paragliding!
