Location is great. It’s a short walk to basically everything: food, bars, shopping…. Room is ok but needs renovation, especially the bathroom. In my room two lights were not working right (periods of flickering ), and the 2 power outlets are not easily accessible, you need crawl on the ground.

Friendly staff. Good location. Clean room. Could do with 2 bins. One in bedroom and one in bathroom.

The staff were all super helpful and experience overall was fantastic, you get actual room keys that you leave at reception. A nice touch these days. A gem in the middle of Rennes. 2 min walk from an the airport bus. Good dining and bars right there & proper market full of delights.

Pleasant stay for one night in small single room and ideally priced. Staff very friendly and made you feel welcome. Highly recommended for the lone traveller on a buget. 5-10 mins walk to centre of town.

Hotel is in a good location. It has a cute lobby and breakfast area. My double room was a nice size and I got a really good sleep.

Really pleasantly surprised by this hotel Ibis. After a horrendous experience in an F1 in Cannes a week earlier we did not expect any better in an Ibis hotel. Well we were well wrong. I arrived very late and no one was at the front desk. I liked the idea of using a code instead of a card to unlock the room. One of the beds was not made when we arrived. The room was cheap and provided good enough room to sleep for a night or two.

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, great location, secure basement car parking not too expensive. But: noisy heating (can be turned off at night); not having tea/coffee making in room is a deal-breaker for me. Bottled water supplied, but not every day.

We liked the spacious room, pleasant lounge area with bar, very good variety of choice for breakfast.

Very nice hotel near to harbour

The only fault was that the tea/coffee making facility in the room wasn't very well stocked. As an English visitor, the choice of an English breakfast tea would have been welcomed as well as the herbal varieties offered. There was also no milk. Whilst I am sure the concierge would have obliged had we phoned, it wasn't so important that we felt to need to call.

The booking went well, but I had to go through booking online because the hotel was not easy to reach. But once booked they were available and very helpful. Our big room for our family is on the upper floor at the end of the building, it is one of the older rooms with worn out carpet and a few sunlight windows. If you are claustrophobic it is not suitable. Disrespectful neighbours were smoking outside the foyer, although it is a non smoking hotel. Wonderful family room that was more than enough space for our family of 5. Great location near the cathedral and town centre. Lovely staff, who were incredibly polite and kind when I had accidentally left without paying. This is a fantastic overnight stop for anyone travelling to the south of France - especially with kids. Decent location from the main busy area. Tight parking available so if you have a large car you might struggle. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable.

Overall this is very good value for money 3 star hotel. Location is perfect for tourists who plan day trips by train - railway station is just a minute walk away. Rooms were okay but surprisingly every towel was dirty. Our toilet roll were two which had already been used. Our soap in the shower was empty. A ball of something which looked like blonde hair or dog fur was on the floor by the table. Very nice experience. The best part of the room is the bathroom. It recently received some love in the form of renovation. The bed is comfortable enough. The location is very good if you're going to use the train or bus station. Otherwise it's a pleasant walk to the city centre. Asked the receptionist if they had toothpaste, they answered that they have shaving cream. City tax = €1.32

Comfortable hotel in Dijon Solo traveller. Stayed at the Victor Hugo on two nights a week apart. A comfortable experience in this traditional French hotel, Very good breakfast. Very quirky - two interconnecting rooms for the price of one! Very simple and basically furbished, beautiful large bathroom and separate loo. We had the garden room (more like a small apartment minus kitchen!) so were woken by the dawn chorus! Considering we were five minutes' walk from the centre of Dijon, this was amazing - so quiet! Would recommend.

A lovely location, a short 10 stroll to some lovely bars and restautants, and beautiful buildings. A smalll shelf in the shower would be useful to put your shower gel on, if I put it on the floor, I wouldn't be able to pich it up again. The owners were lovely, sending us the door code and our room numbersas it we were quite late cheching in.

Located near the station, the obliging owner let us in during their mid-day closure to leave our bags, and even gave us the key to our room immediately. The room was small but clean well laid out. Breakfast featured homemade yogurt, applesauce and jam and had a mini crepe machine. The warm family vibe was a nice change from the chain hotels. Recommended!

If you like to people watch this is the place/area to be. A/C worked good, Bathroom was nice, bed was comfortable. Underground parking was tight, as most are, but very convenient, more so if both elevators are working, otherwise some extra steps are needed. If you can't do stairs at all, might be an issue, both in parking and hotel. I would go back.

Location is excellent. Close to bus and train station. With restaurants and supermarket on the same street. However, room is dirty. The wash in bathroom is with worm. There were black dirts on beds. Close to the train station is a real bonus for early departure or late arrival. Walking distance to the old town . It is a small city!! Rooms are small, the shower cubicle is very tiny..forget turning. Power points are not well placed for charging. Could do with a better cupboard for storage too.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly but there are limited food and drink options in the immediate area. It's very VERY close to the train station but some people might prefer to stay closer to the downtown.
