Hotel The Originals Paris Paix République in Paris

Our stay started off great, with a good parking spot for our car and a warm room upon arrival (room was always nicely warm). However, throughout our stay, we found the room way too small for two persons (like a matchbox). Further, the walls are so thin that you can (and we did) hear the neighbours being intimate and hear most of their conversations, which, of course, works vice versa. As such, our sleep was disturbed and of low quality. The bathrooms need a severe update as the showers are ancient and come with a sticky shower curtain. We did not use the breakfast in the hotel, but went to local coffee houses and breakfast places instead. The location is great in terms of transportation options (metro nearby), however, be careful on Place de la République, as it is a hotspot for protests and demonstrations.

Avoid the place! They charged my account £114,47 on my booking day. On my arrival to the hotel 2 months later they said that that was security deposit and it will be returned to me between 48h and 6 weeks! I stayed there one night with my friend, so I paid £119 for the night and as they receptionist said my security deposit will be returned to me. That never happened, they told me they sent it back and that my bank had to block it. I contacted my bank, there is no transfer made from this hotel and never been. Now they are saying that they never charged my account for deposit. People have your eyes wide open and do not go for the place. They will play like is all your fault. I have never received my £114 security deposit back. I saw one review, one lady said that the same happened to her. Please stay aware and safe!

I want to warn people to not let this hotel take money for as called,security deposit,,as my friend is still waiting for her money back and it's over a month now. She was assured that this deposit £114 will be back to her account but no reply. All emails she wrote are coming back. She has reference number,room was left without any damage,still no reply and no money back. Very bad management and because of that not good review.

1. The hotel receptionist blocked 100€ as deposit from my credit card after reaching the hotel. But this was not informed/communicated/mentioned during online booking.

2. There were no options at all for breakfast.

3. The room key should be handed to the receptionist each and every time we go out of the hotel. There is no security for our private belongings in the room when we go out.

4. The bedsheets and blankets were not even changed once during our 3-Days stay at the hotel.

5. The toiletries were not good and we're not provided in enough quantity.

6. Once you connect to the hotel WiFi and go outside, it won't connect automatically once you are back in the hotel. We have to enter the password each and every time.

7. The rooms were very small and not worth of money.
